So sad that I will miss this. Holding out hope for an extended run into June!

You confirm my recent suspicions that the focus of interestingness in Europe has repositioned east to the Poland - Slovakia - Hungary - former-Yugoslavia corridor.

Somewhat oddly, given that you're in the USA and I'm in Canada, where 22 Minutes originates, when I try to view the video in this post I get a "This video is not available in your country or domain." message in the video player.

That's odd, because I got the same response when I tried to view it on the CBC blog where I originally saw it. A search on youtube turned up another copy. All this cross border rights control is getting ridiculous just like the BBC iPlayer or trying to watch Hulu outside the US. You might want to try it here http://www.insidethecbc.com/the-fuggly-blanket

The article, by the way, was in The New Yorker -- should have mentioned that!

There was an interesting article about the Fox show 24 several issues back that discussed the political approach of the series, and also touched on the genesis of the Half Hour Comedy Hour, which comes from the same production company. Worthwhile reading.

in Back to Being a Low-Tech Audience on Climb to the StarsI had the same experience at reboot, and my solution was to take handwritten notes, scan them, and then annotate them with Flickr.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Sam, but wasn't there a darkroom at the Hamilton YMCA too? Seems to me that it was right across the hallway from the "crafts room" on the basement level down from the Youth Department.
