Great post! Personally I think Social Media is just in its infancy so therefore I believe that jobs are here to stay for a long while!

I totally agree with what you said "The reality is that a valuable community that I feel connected to is most important." We can spend a lot of time at these social sites and not be very efficient but if we evaluate where we can be most effective is where we should spend our time!

Great tips here that I have used before but you have put them into great perspective. I think following 500 blogs is a bit much but hey what ever floats the boat. Thanks

in Just Bought an iPhone 3G? Sucker! Gphone is on the Way! on Marketing Pilgrim
Personally I didn't get the iPhone and probably won't until I see what the GPhone is like and then make a decision. Can't say I will buy either for a while I am not the early adopter type.

Well first of all I love the latest posts that have caused quite a ruckus in the online world, I would have to agree with you on certain aspects especially "Given the two site’s relative size, though, Twitter doesn’t have much to fear, other than losing a certain type of user - the vocal, visible community leader." I personally use Twitter, Plurk and FriendFeed and like all of them for different reasons.
Thanks for the post!

You da man Jordan!! Thanks for the great Social Media Resource List, it will be a great tool for us all in the online world.
Totally agree. You can argue all you want that a particular tool (like Twitter) is a fad. But two-way communication a fad? No way.
It is sooo young. I wrote a post on 5 social media predictions on where I think this is going if you're interested, located at:
