in McCain Camp Charges NBC’s Mitchell With Bias, Admits She’s Right on The Washington Independent
It's embarrassing to hear McCain and his weinies throw the "POW" thing into every argument. It cheapens the experience McCain supposedly endured in North Vietnam -- and I say "supposedly" because, frankly, methinks the campaign doth protest too much. Where I accepted, unqualifiedly, McCain's record and heroism as a POW before this campaign, the more I hear it thrown in to discussions merely to deflect criticism for something the Senator did or did not do, the more I'm beginning to wonder.
Short message to mcCain: cut it out! leave the POW story to stand for itself and only when it fits in to what you're talking about. It is shameful to hide behind your POW experience, John. Shameful.

in Swift Boat Author Smears Self on The Washington Independent
Corsi needs and deserves this -- and more of it. Bruce McCall, thank you. Would it be possible, I wonder, to purchase billboards going into St. Paul with Corsi's picture framed by quotes from this "autobiographical" rendering?

in Obama the Mega-Hunk on The Washington Independent
McCain disgraced himself by hugging and snuggling with Bush, both figuratively and literally. With the ad campaign he's running, he's throwing in the garbage whatever might have been left of his heroic persona. I await the debates, where McCain will be unable to hide behind this kind of puerile pettiness.

in McCain: It’s the Process That Matters, Not the Result on The Washington Independent
To be consistent, isn't McCain also saying that you cannot support the war if you haven't actually sat down and talked with Petraeus?
And, if that's the case, isn't he really saying that we should all just shut up -- or visit Iraq and have a beer with the General?
