ok to answer the questions you have.

1) Yes they could have succeeded if they stop being greedy about it. Some people are still dependent on dial up access. I know an executive who was so used to edsamail because he didint need internet access just to get his email.

3) Tie up with Telco's is a great idea specially for question 2. It can accomodate all regions.

4) retain the same client. THEN ADD A FUCKING WEB INTERFACE SO THAT YOU CAN ALSO ACCESS THE SHIT ANYWHERE ELSE

5) adsense is worthless in dial up. Get some quality ads from local companies.

adsense for the web interface. really edsamail had a chance to make money because they have the demographics that can really entice advertisers. They just dont know anything about it kaya ganun nabulok.

7) Do think those people who got mac and linux is still using dial up? they can access the web interface.

tae talaga. They are not part of the it industry that I agree with you but they are the fuel.

being a call center is not that demeaning, its a temp job though not a career (not unless you want to be the ops man and above)

I just find their lifestyle is quite annoying. but where else can you get 12,000 pesos a month for just being a phone monkey? but then again that doesnt warrant their attitude that they think they are above or something.
