John Adams is the new Director of Operations. He was interviewed by @techcrunch recently and discussed this very problem and some of what he'll do to solve it.

http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/06/23/john-adams...

Let's hope this finally gets them over the hump so we can all stop writing blog posts about how poorly Twitter is behaving.

Re: louisgray.com: TweetBeep: Twitter Keyword Alerts to Your E-mail

I've been using Tweetbeep for some time now. It's a useful service for ensuring you never miss an @reply or mention of topics and/or keywords that are important to you. Kudos to Michael Jensen (@mdjensen) for his Tweetbeep work!

Re: Why I'm Blue

Scott - Welcome to Detroit! We're excited to have you come here and spread the social media word for Ford. You'll have to come to one of the Detroit Tweetups. Check out http://dtweetups.ning.com/ and join. I've gotten to the point where I have a dedicated Summize tab open in FF at all times. It's much easier than using the replies tab integrated into the Twitter homepage.

Speaking of Summize, Twitter needs to buy them or outsource replies feature to them. Summize wins, hands down. And performance is never an issue.

Re: Twitter's impact on big brands

Warren - Scott and team pulled off a fantastic event. All the social media/blogger folks that attended were buzzing over at least one of the models they tested. Scott's approach to invite real people/influencers over traditional automotive media seems to have paid off handsomely.

Re: Thanks, twitter followers.

John - Congratulations on your new position with Twitter. Charge People!

It depends on perceived value. I'll use Twitter as an example because I'm not using Multiply yet. Would someone new to Twitter be as willing to pay? Would an early adopter that gets/puts much more out of the Twitter community be any more willing? Each individual must decide that for his/herself. I would pay a fee to use it because I believe there lies significant value in the community that I've become a part of. It sure provides a heck of a lot more value to me than the $6.95/month I pay for ESPN insider!

Re: The Pains of a Digital Nomad

Hi Nick. Great post. What cloud service are you using? Have you moved all of your blogs/sites over to the cloud now too? Curious to hear more about how trivial/painful the experience has been.

Re: Facebook Begins Suggesting Friends?

Answer for Dan Jones - It is real. Thanks for the comments. You're right, a Digital telephony system does make it much better. We have one here and I receive all voicemail messages in my email as an audio file. All I need to do is click play and listen. I haven't actually logged into the phone system via a telephone handset in 2 months. In the land of voicemail systems, it's pure heaven. That sad, my feelings overall on VM usage haven't changed. I prefer text, IM, Twitter or other forms of messaging.

Re: Is Voicemail Dead? | Web Business by Ken Burbary

@A.J.
