in Bowing … scraping … not to offend on Paul Jacobson
Mmk, I've never been to one of the 27Dinners but *perhaps* there shouldn't be a talk at all!

Perhaps it should just be about DINNER and a fun, social atmosphere ...?

It seems to me that all these "talks" everyone goes to means everyone feels obliged to always wear their "I'm such a friggin' genius" mask.

I may way off base here but I would really love to go to a "do" that's just about meeting real people.

in Thoughts about video blogging on Paul Jacobson
Thanks for this Paul - good food for thought.

I think a lot of (local) people are going to go into vlogging ... and I'm sure there could be some good results if it's done properly and bandwidth is not an issue.

I won't dismiss the idea for myself just yet, but hells it seems VERY daunting. Not sure if it's up my introvert alley =)

Seesmic sounds interesting but I think I'm being stupid - how do I actually view your video? There's no "play" button - can I only see it by creating an account or what?

Yes, since reading Justin's post on Wednesday I have been wondering the same thing - about Nandos and everyone else too! I wonder if there is any way that we as consumers can get access to this kind of information?

in Regator.com steals our brand - coincidence? on Justin Hartman
Please keep us posted on what develops here - this could be a very interesting case. I had to face something similar in the past but cyberlaw was a nonentity in this country back then. After that, I made sure to register all brands!

Big up to KFC Canada for changing their ways and insisting that suppliers treat their chickens better.

This only came after 3 years of protest though, so we as consumers need to continue making noise. I agree with Garsen, we do turn a blind eye when it suits us, but we really don't have to. We can choose not to support a company that condones animal cruelty.

We CAN make a difference if we keep up with the protests - KFC Canada is independent of the rest of the operations that do still endorse the cruelty exercised by it's suppliers.

Personally, I don't like the stuff (just like Kat, I think it stinks and tastes terrible), but my kids eat it and guess who pays for that? Well, no more!

Exactly! And now we need to make sure that more of us average folk get the message =)

I've tweeted re. this page, posted it to Facebook and I'm busy adding a link to it from my blog ...

Perhaps this isn't a new story, but it's new to me and I now that I am aware of it, I'm on an immediate and total KFC boycott.

I will NOT buy into a company that endorses this kind of disgusting behaviour for profit.

They will NOT have any more of my ronds and I'll make damn sure I spread the word too.

And I'm positive there are others out there who don't know about this!

Oh gosh ... I can't bring myself to watch the video but hells, if this is true then I am outraged!

I'll NEVER buy KFC again!! Bastards.

I really hope this post reaches a lot of people.

in Which direction do you stir? on Justin Hartman
Ok, I would NEVER have given this ANY thought whatsoever =)

But now, dammit, I want to know - what DOES make me stir my tea/coffee clockwise (I am right handed.)

I wonder if this has any connection to whether one is left or right brained?

Is there any significance in it all? What, if anything, does it reveal ....?
