Hi Fred, I am working on the next version of TinyTwitter for Blackberry/Java phones and would love to get your/community input on what would make a great mobile Twitter client.

Must have just missed you in Boulder last night - was hoping to meet. Anyway, I would really appreciate any feedback/input. Anyone please feel free to email me at kevinc at tinytwitter dot com. BTW, the first thing I am doing is making a more pleasing user interface (for v 1.0 I used the generic j2me controls) - for the next rev got some sweet (well sweeter) ui components!

To try v 1 just go to m.ttwt.at. The next rev will be coming soon and hopefully be closer to greatness w/ the help of the community.

Oh, and the blackberry (all non iphopne app) ecosystem for getting apps is definitely not good... but it is open :) ie, you can get tinytwitter or twitterberry or any of the other cool mobile bb app from anywhere and this is good - there just needs to be some organization perhaps.

Thanks for taking a look at Tiny Twitter… this is an app I put together after getting annoyed w/ the onslaught of Twitter SMS’s. Keep in mind it is a nights and weekend kinda thing and there are some known issues on the Nokia. Well, I think so anyway; I don’t have a Nokia device in hand… hey, Nokia if you are listening and want to lend a developer a hand I would love to get a N95 for “testing” 

Anyway, on Nokia’s the full tweet content does not render and you have to expand to see it all (that’s kinda lame I know). Also, I do not let you browse links yet. I actually saw your tweet on this earlier today and started looking into it. If it can be done, it’ll get done this weekend and the Tiny Twitter v. Scoble 1.0 will be ready to roll sometime late Sunday/early Monday.

i had similar issues w/ twitter and sms coming down the pipe so i created a java client as another alternative... no sms fees, automatic updates, advance features like replying, direct messages, auto updating , etc. Check it out as another option for getting Twitter on your mobile - tinytwitter.com

that's cool... for another option check out tinytwitter.com. it's a j2me app that in theory should run on any java enabled device. it has a pretty nice feature set and will give you a bit richer user experience.

check it out and let me know what you think, how it goes, and if you have any questions, comments, or requests. it's early in dev and i want to get it humming on as many flavors of handsets as possible to put the "write once, run anywhere" notion to task :)
