i dont understand why benitez doesnt play babel as a forward or second striker more. He played that role at ajax and was a gun. I understand he is fast and good for the wings but getting to fast runners down the middle allows alot of counter attacking measures and rest for torres.

in all fairness it wasnt that poor a performance. That penalty was a little unlucky for james cause the ball didnt go where he wanted it to go and all he did was shield his body. That said france had the better chances throughout the game.

sure it might not be liverpools first team but it aint exactly chelseas first team either, alot of the players are coming back from injury and cards, add to it that plenty of our big names are still side lined and it was a great way to boost the confidence level after losing to arsenal

well he is a very good young prospect but still too weak for european soccer. he will need to strengthen up quite a bit to play in england or spain.
