So they're only forbidding DTM (direct-to-merchant) PPC. You can, however, run paid search campaigns that send traffic to your own website (where you have the Amazon store).

Re: Amazon Kills Associate Direct Paid Search

I agree with Pat about affiliate DTM PPC campaigns generally being "of very low value." Amazon's decision is interesting (sets a precedent too). Looking forward to Scott's and Kellie's further thoughts on the possible reasons behind it.

Re: North Carolina’s version of the “Amazon Tax”

It's Use Tax section 150.201. Looking forward to reviewing the results tomorrow morning. Certainly looks like a good little widget.

One suggestion: can the owner of the widget himself/herself be removed from the list of the last visitors of his/her site? It's a bit weird having your own picture there twice (first - as the large picture in the top part of the widget, and then - in the list of the last visitors)?

Re: Be Honest, really

Important post. In the era of user-generated content, you can never take more than what you yourself have given (in terms of useful, constructive content). Many try, but all fail.

Re: More Proof That Content is King

Good research reference and conclusion/recommendation. I am also surprised how many e-commerce websites do not have FAQ sections, or don't run blogs, or shoot instructional videos. Adding a forum to your e-commerce website (both for support purposes, and to add an element of online social interaction) is another idea to play with. Will help the merchant with their topical SE rankings for sure.
