in Oral Sex and Reciprocity on Menstrual Poetry
This sort of makes me feel guilty. My boyfriend goes down on me every single time we have sex, to lube everything up down there. He knows there's no intercourse unless he gets the area ready.
I don't give him head that often. Oops! I guess I'm the lucky one here. You're right, he's a keeper. :)
To everyone else, don't accept anything else.

What an incredibly tragic event. I completely agree with you. It is very upsetting that the media is not standing up for her, and is instead bashing the action she chose to engage in. Who is going after the bullies and taunters?

My goodness. How you conduct yourself is pretty shocking. I'm not sure where in "foul mouthed young girl" there is a racist slur, but I'm going to have to agree 100% with organic70 on her statement. You'll be a woman when you can control your tongue and communicate in a respectful manner, even if you don't agree with what someone is saying. In the meantime, your angry racist comments only further the rift between each other as women. You should really be ashamed of your behavior.

And you should really shut the fuck up. First off, your commentary is agest, but you're only interested in being oppressive. How I choose to express myself is my business. Respect is earned not given and Organic did not approach respectfully therefore she got what she was looking for.
Since racism is something that is determined by how it effects the listener as a WOC it was my call to make, but then you would know that if you had clue one about anti racism. So unless you have something useful to add, how about you join the shut the fuck up and listen crowd because your ignorance is glaring.

I honestly thought that it was just me. After she cursed me out I decided to take a look at some of her other posts on her blog, and I was actually blown away with the amount of hatred poring out of her. Her writing is absolutely amazing though, I've got to admit.
I do know a few things about people, and this much I can tell......someone that feels this strongly and carries this much pent up anger, is someone that is not happy with their own skin.

in Anti-Choice Ads, You’ve Really Outdone Yourselves This Time on Menstrual Poetry
Waaah? I am stumped. Where in her post did she even mention race?
"average, run of the mill, minimum-wage-earning, burger-flipping citizen" No where in that exact quote do I see the word "african american" or "white" or "hispanic" or anything else. It's very unusual that you somehow saw those words in that sentence when they weren't actually there.

I love your writing style. It's so free-flowing and honest. Your stories are so helpful and informative and it's So Important that you're sharing this with so many women who are going through what you are going through and feel so terribly alone in it. I heard of your blog through MentrualPoetry and I just wanted you to know you have hundreds (if not thousands) of women here for you. You may not know us, but we are rooting for you and hoping you feel better soon. I'm sure your procedure will go swimmingly. :)

in Open Thread: Your Voting Experience on Menstrual Poetry
Since I live in San Francisco, it was a really exciting day. Just Monday we had been bombarded by rainstorms, but when the sun came up on Tuesday it was clear and bright. All the dirt of the city had been washed clean and everyone was jittery with excitement. Everyone voted, and everyone was patient waiting in lines. They talked about how exciting it all was, how so many people were turning out to vote. My boyfriend made cookies for the poll workers and everyone was very pleasant, even after waiting 45 minutes to get their chance to vote.

in This is What McCain/Palin Supporters Look (and Act) Like on Menstrual Poetry
He is asking because a great number of Palin supporters are voting for the McCain/Palin ticket but don't actually know where Palin/McCain stand on their issues. They're just blindly following their party rather than doing any research on the issues they stand for/against. Seemed pretty obvious to me.

Um, they were COMPETING. And guess what? She didn't win. She just didn't. It was close, but in the end, she DID NOT WIN. Bummer. Can we get on with our lives now?

Really terrible. I am having to fight myself not to judge because it makes me feel racist, but there are so many things that are popping up that are so wrong, it's hard to control how you feel about them. But it's true, China has a lot to be ashamed about.

Twitter was in the process of moving locations, and thus, some stuff got messed up in the process. I don't work for them, but their office is directly upstairs from my work building and they just moved in.
