No. No. No. No. No! The food should be simple, inspired and delicious. With a mix of old "favorites" and some new recipes that stand out and will become future favorites. People are unhappy with the food not because it isn't "mediocre enough" but because, frankly, it sucks. If the food were actually good, I suspect the old vs. new recipe debate would be largely moot.

Maybe that's what you want. But most people would welcome some delicious, "elevated" cafeteria food. The problem is the food they have now is horrible.

I'm sorry, but this whole "issue" is CONCERN TROLLING at its worst. First of all, nothing is surprising here given the average ages of sought-after male box office stars and female box office stars respectively. When they get paired up, there is going to be an age gap. Think of Hollywood A-listers as a big repertory company; they end up playing opposite each other in a variety of roles.

Also, the entire premise of this article is misleading because it doesn't take into the account the ages the actors are PORTRAYING in the films.

And finally, why assume that the age gap is a "problem" that needs to be "fixed?" Am I missing something in not seeing a ten year age gap between actors as some sort of grave social ill?

Are we supposed to assume there is something terribly wrong her because Kyle Buchanan, who is gay, decided one day that heterosexual couples on film must be portrayed by actors within a certain age range? WHY? Who gets to decide whether something is a "problem" or not? What praytell would be "acceptable" to Buchanan and KPCC?

These social justice crusades against perceived (invented) ills are beyond silly. It's disheartening that KPCC has regurgitated Buchanan's diatribe in such an uncritical way.

If I make a few charts about Hollywood's eye color "problem" (about how many starlets are paired with actors whose eyes are darker than their own) should I expect it to be published on this site?

It was a reference to wannabe / posers who think they are models because they have an instagram but actually make their money by being hangers on/leeches/and or turning tricks.

As a black man with a 99th percentile IQ, I couldn't care less about racial differences on a macro level. Doesn't affect me one bit.

It tends to be people insecure in their own personal shortcomings that are obsessed with this stuff. At the end of the day, individual achievement is all that matters.
