so, to sum it up: the value of twitter is scale, plus (imho) the fact that they are a proprietary platform. Why? Well, because even if Disqus sold companies verified company profiles to use to reply to comments, I'm not sure people would buy it: what about comments on IntenseDebate, or other closed platforms, or wordpress comments, or blogger comments, MT comments etc? With twitter, it's either twitter, or nothing.

esatto. la sinistra è ferma a 20 (21) anni prima, e non al '68 di Praga, purtroppo. La destra, e con essa un bel pezzo d'Italia, non ha ancora ammesso di aver perso la guerra (senza la guerra, avremmo ancora il duce, o suo figlio, come in Corea del Nord).

secondo me, invece, una denuncia è assolutamente fondamentale, e come dice kOoLiNuS va fatta di persona (così non ti possono mandare via) dai carabinieri e subito (la polizia postale non so dove andarla a trovare, fisicamente). Per il resto, in bocca al lupo.

well, the fact that large 'content' website that depend on selling ads cost a lot of money to run does not mean that they are 'entitled' to getting that money from advertisers, or does it?

it's not advertising. it's information amazon.com has. they have both 'internal' information (coming from the company that produces the product) and 'external' information (consumer reviews).

yes, I think. Because they are, on average, selling you crap (advertisement is crap, but they tell you it's a wonderful media buy, and charge you accordingly) instead of letting you buy crap self-service for cheap(er), at the market's price, like Google does.

By 2010, many clueless ad-sellers will go underwater, Google will enjoy a close to monopoly position on online advertising, prices for ads on Google will continue to go up, and smart and honest companies which have good products and a good story will be buying fewer and fewer ads, because it will be too expensive (and not too smart).

Those who will be stuck with having to buy ads on the Internet are going to be the not so honest and not so clean and not so webby and not so smart companies and services - online dating services, ringtones services, poker sites, online betting sites and the like - to whom the line "if you have nothing to say, then sing it" applies in full...
