This relates back to iteration too. If we can get an early good-enough/low-hanging-fruit version of an idea on the site we can start to test our assumptions around it (will people click? will people puke? will they open their wallets?) and decide if it's worth it to swing for the fences with the idea given resources/priorities right away, leave it as is, or add to it iteratively towards a larger goal.

Re: Once.im Launched

so awesome

Re: They Growz Up So Fast!

thanks for the great post micah. and you got it. no fucking up.

Re: Now testing: Endless Dashboard scrolling

Also, I expected to play it right in the widget and not as a lightbox. With that said, the gameplay was pretty fun.

Re: Big Day for TechStars

great pictures dude

Re: Brittany Bohnet

nice

Re: Re-branding Silicon Valley

as someone who needs to decide where to move in the next 6 months after graduating, and is weighing sv amongst a handful of other options, something like this happening would seal the deal. do it brit!

Re: kevin twohy

try setting the div #salmon to width 500px instead of 915px and it'll look a lot less cluttered! otherwise, well done!

Re: Pandora, and arbitraging fame

Well said Q. Spot on. Making it easy for listeners to signal preferences in a meaningful way is exactly what we're trying to create at thenextbigsound.com. As audience selected artists become popular their staying power will hopefully hold more weight. Time is another consideration -- it is scarce per person, and this influences consumers ability and willingness to make their preferences known. As the total bandwidth of music increases easy ways to sort through the clutter will become exceptionally important. Curious to hear more of your thoughts on this -- keep posting!
