why can't they build the lens with an internal zoom mechanism escapes me... yes they say they redesigned the whole thing including the extending barrel, but when you use a lens everyday on the job...

extending barrel zoom lenses will always be more likely to wear down faster than an internal zoom lens. and since we're talking 'red ring' pro lenses at 2500$ i was expecting something else.

i've had some interesting finds to when i go back to a place or story i was doing that had particularly touched me in anyway and sometimes.... fresh eyes over the subject are never harmful :)

David, i really really like it, superb portrait! i read at the time about the 'alternate' process used. i wish i had the time and knowledge to use alternative processes when some, decades or even a century later, still produce remarkable results... :)
