Ah yes... The infamous 'appletax'... After having using OS X for the past two years, I would pay a literal Apple Tax before going back to Windows!

One of my favorite lines: "Kay doesn't mention a Windows Tax which would include: the need for regular malware-purging system enemas, the time lost in wrestling with an OS that may be improving but still remains recalcitrant, and the bottle of Jägermeister a Windows user needs to keep in his desk drawer to calm those Conficker jitters."

I think it was because the foreground was moving faster than the

I am curious to see how your experience was when you tried it out. I agree with you on the syncing. That helped sway my decision because I felt like I did not lose all of my comments just by testing them out.

Is it any better or worse than Intense Debate or about the same?

You know.. I might just try and implement this now on my blog. When I checked Disqus out a few months back there was no ability to import or sync comments with your local WP database. Now that you can, it's not like you're making an eternal commitment. You can simply back out at any time!

I think I like Disqus' setup better where you can actually see what other comments people have left. I am not all that familiar with Intense Debate, but it seems like that was not quite as easily done.

I am digging the Disqus concept Waiting however to see if it's direct competition Intense Debate gets implemented into one of the upcoming releases of WordPress (seeing as it has been purchased by WP parent company Automattic)

sorry, misunderstood your question. 960.gs is really great. Definitely download it and play with it. There's also a way cool DHTML implementation of it somewhere. 960 was created by a Christian too. So, that makes it even way cooler. ;-)

I haven't used it yet but it looks like it might be superior to YUI grids (not the rest of the YUI lib of course) in it's layout flexibility. Not sure about browser support though. Just wondering if you had any experience with it.
