in Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire on [FUNG'KE] [BLAK] [CHIK]
I never was a good liar....I preferred the sin of omission, otherwise known as don't ask me and I won't tell you. The only lie that stood out was similar to the both of you....he lied and said he wasn't cheating, although the girl called me (he's in La. and I'm in Tn., mind you) and told me the business.

in Since When Is Steve Harvey A Relationship Expert? on [FUNG'KE] [BLAK] [CHIK]
The sad part is that women will buy this books by the dozens (some to drool over this very pic....ugh!) to get information that I'm amazed is news. You would think Mr. Harvey just told us that Jesus was the Messiah and that E=mc2....geez!

I didn't participate in the National Day of Service.....working on making service a more regular event. I don't think that someone should have to make a Day for all of us to give back.
That being said...I watched the parties last night. Looked like all had fun. I think that a little pomp and circumstance is necessary; every time we do it, we show other countries that there are civilized ways to transfer power. No one died, no one was overthrown, no one had to run away. Using the Inauguration as an excuse to throw a $10,000 party? No. Celebrating a transition, sure.

I think his main reason in organizing the day of service is to down play all of the pomp & circumstance and make people aware that it's not all about the parties & balls...

6--Amazing! God had his hand on that pilot!
5--What in the...you know what? Never mind.
4--I've had those thoughts from the beginning. Time will tell.
3--I LOVE THESE COMMERCIALS! Between Candace Parker, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt, Muhammad Ali, and the JabbaWockeez, I am amazed.
2--Notorious, well...while I loved Biggie's music, I have no thoughts of martyrdom for him. I do, however, think it's sad that the movie can't just be something that is enjoyed for what it is. There have already been reports of fighting at the showings.
1--It is? How can you tell. That child is gorgeous!

in Newsflash: Oprah’s Fat! on [FUNG'KE] [BLAK] [CHIK]
I don't think Oprah being fat is news, but for a different reason than you guys do. I do think it shows Oprah as a human being and not this entity to be worshipped on the mount. She has health problems, she eats when she's stressed (shocker!) and she doesn't know what to do.
The reason why this isn't news is because we've seen it so many times. Although I do believe that obesity becomes more of a problem the lower the income, all of the tools that we need to be healthy are available to most of us. I also like Ruby BECAUSE she is doing something about it. What I don't like seeing are people Jackie the person Jackie you speak of. Lack of money is not a reason to be overweight. You can walk around most places in most cities for free. She could save money for a Bally's membership by NOT EATING THE DOUGHNUTS!
Now I'm not rich, or skinny, but a little personal responsibility, please.

I was truly being facetious with the "Jackie" story :) I don't watch much tv, but I did look up stuff about Ruby and she's truly remarkable!

in To Be Bourgie or Not To Be Bourgie? on [FUNG'KE] [BLAK] [CHIK]
I kinda like vienna sausages... but other than that.... I think that liking real food instead of things that you don't recognize is taking care of yourself. It's only bourgie if you look down on others because they do like canned hash!
I keep getting stuck in the middle of bourgie and ghetto (although I don't identify with either one). I once had a friend call me ghetto because I'm from Memphis. I don't know why that bothered me...
I don't buy bootleg DVDs because I know I would like to get paid for my job, why shouldn't actors? I rarely buy fake goods because I can just about afford the real ones (TJ Maxx and Marshalls sells Dooney and Coach for a good price)
I guess bourgie is a state of mind....

I'm fairly blessed in the rear and usually I look at ignorance like that guys as insecurity, and therefore not my problem. I do remember one incident that was hilarious. I was walking out of a store going to my car and there is a guy driving up next to me looking very hard....the next thing I know I hear a small crash! This fool hit the curb hard! He was so embarrassed that I didn't have to worry about him ever again.
