Um, the trailer isn't confusing at all. And it's not a Matrix rip off at all. "The Island" is set in the not so distant future, where clones are made so that the original people can have 'spare parts.' The thing is, the clones don't know that they are clones. They also don't know that the 'island' is a fictitious place that the clones are told about. When the clones are told they are going to the 'island', they believe that they are gaining freedom from the lives theyve been living. But really, they are being taking away so their organs etc can be harvested for the owners. Watch the international trailer too, it explains this a little more clearly than the teaser you have watched.

Hey Amy, I just wanted to apologize on behalf of true-blue Christianity that you were thrown into an emotional runaround w/ your previous pastor and the terrible outline for Christian living that you were given :-( I read this yesterday and have given a LOT of thought to it, and I want you to REALLY think about what I'm writing. It's going to get eatin' alive by the atheists and "free thinkers" on this page but I'm talking straight to you Amy.

I've got some questions for you that I'd like you to answer for me w/ complete truth and open heart.

When you went to church, were you doing it out of religion and once a week, or were you building a relationship with Christ that affected your daily life OUTSIDE of what your pastor says. (It sounded like the pastor was more god, than Christ in your story by the effect the pastor had on your day to day life...correct me if I'm wrong)

Second... Who is God? Now, like I said I care enough about you to have thought diligently about posting this. Others on here give the same 'ol free thinker answer of "THERE IS NO GOD GET OVER IT" However I truly think that you know in your heart that there is, but I think that you might be underestimating his power...i.e.

Who is going to stand up for me to Him?

Think about those questions a bit. I want you to know that it is OK to be confused and it is ok to be angry. There are numerous accounts in the Bible where people get flustered and confused because God seems to be confusing. I can tell you though from personal experience that if you have faith w/ no doubt that God will provide. For me, it was a matter of not having money for housing or food, and it got to the point where I realized that when I prayed in faith, I was really leaning on other things besides God, but when those crutches were kicked out from under me and I began to fall, God lifted me right up, and provided me w/ money, food, a place to live, and most of all joy. It was about a 6-9 month process, unfortunately one of the drags of Faith is that it doesn't go along w/ the worldly mindset of "Instant gratification" but i can gurantee you that God has somethin' special in the mix for you Amy and that He is just waiting for you to make the next move ;-)

God didn't kill anybody. We are in a world that is separated from God (compliments to Adam and Eve way back when) and as a result Satan has free-reign over the world. In Jesus dying for us, we are able to be close with God again...but only if we call on Him and trust in Him. Therefore, with evil intentions RULING the world, you should only expect bad things to happen.

Christianity isn't a frolic through a park u know? If it's being pushed to the max BECAUSE there are more people who want nothing to do w/ it than there are true-believing/acting Christians.

I don't wanna fight or argue w/ u man 'cause that's not gonna get us anywhere. I did want to answer your question though :-) Have a great day man!

7) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

We all need to remember that the Bible was written in a far different time and it is nearly impossible to apply the rules of that time to the reality of today.

I'll stop it there! Here's what I'm getting at 'cause I entirely agree w/ u on that last stanza (I was just being obnoxious w/ your questions...I don't think i have to clarify that, but I also don't want you killing random people either :-P )

In this day and age we have Christ to thank for covering the OLD law w/ His blood. Does this mean the Bible is erroneous?! Of course not...this is how it USED to be and it is simply Historical, but if u stop at Leviticus and try to apply it like here and all of these situations that you've given me to answer to, then you just need to skip up to the New Covenant to understand what the LOVE of God is rather than the utter WRATH of God. I recommend John :-)

Yeah, that is rather ridiculous. I can see having a slight delay, such as with HDTV where it is a couple seconds. But, five minutes is ridiculous.

I would highly recommend Setanta, particularly with the new on demand feature.

Yeah, I had a similar experience trying to get Arsenal tickets. I am sure that it makes them a lot of money, which they need to pay off the debt. But I think it comes at a cost, because it prices out a lot of people from going, which I think is terrible.

I don't see them showing the analysis from Sky. American networks don't know quite what to do with soccer, because it doesn't have 850,000 commercial breaks automatically built into it. Therefore, they shoot their wad on commercials.

I don't get why they just don't put advertisements on the ticker or something to make money that way. I suppose that would make too much sense

I will watch the news stuff on FSC.

I like GOLTV and I think they do a better production job than FSC, but I don't usually plan my day around it.

I just caught you on the Beautiful Game podcast. I agree with your assessment of some of the problems with the Premiership today. It's one of the reasons I love watching the early round FA matches. It was lovely seeing guys with nothing to lose going balls out, for, in today's case, 120 minutes, rather than compiling notes for the next part of their autobiography.

FSC already paid for the rights to Premiership games. What are they supposed to say "come watch Man City and Watford dredge out a 0-0 draw"? Their embellishments are nothing compared to every other Fox Sports production.

Yes, the other leagues average more goals. Does that honestly mean the quality of play is better? Is the Bundesliga really the epitome of excitement?

I think that Premiership is the most balanced league from top to bottom. I believe 7/8 teams made it out of the group stages in Europe this year. I think the aggregate lack of goals is due more to parity, whereas in say Italy, there are two decent teams and the rest are absolute rubbish.

As your recent trip showed, what the Premiership may lack in technical quality on the pitch it more than makes up for in atmosphere. You can't tell me that a half-empty stadium in Italy is a more exciting venue to watch a game.

I don't think that a salary cap is the way to go. Big Clubs should not be prevented from reinvesting revenue into the team. Some more parity would be good, but too much parity would be a bad thing. Having strong teams in traditional places like Man U, Liverpool, and Arsenal is good for the game. A salary cap would make it a traditionless entity like the National Football League.

I would suggest more of a revenue sharing plan, similar to Major League Baseball. It allows the successful clubs to stay successful, and if the money is dictated to be used for salary would allow the smaller teams to be more competitive.

I listen to both podcasts as well and I agree with many of your points. I think the points where guillem and gabriele are both on there may be the height of intelligent analysis.

I would still, however, give an edge to the Guardian. I give that because every presenter be it James, Barry, Kevin, Paul, Sid Lowe, Marcela all add something. At the same time, I find Danny Kelly to be a wee bit obnoxious, Bill Edgar to be a bit of a fool, and Allyson just spouts stereotypes from 10 years ago.

I agree about the call for more Barry. The problem is that a number of bloggers feel compelled to malign Barry at every turn, so I think they are reticent to turn over the keys to him. I also think because of that his enthusiasm for doing the pod has dwindled.

The worst part is that Times Square in NYC is covered with the new logo and no mention of Pepsi -- just a bunch of dumb slogans. And in Los Angeles, one huge billboard ad says "YES YOU CAN" with the O being the new logo....COME ON, give me a break! That is the most blatant use of Obama's high profile figure at the moment to sell sodas...geez.

I think pull ups are the way to go for Back. Nothing else even comes close. I was doing this routine where I was doing 100 pull ups a day for my back workout. I cant say they were all the best form, but it def jacked my back up.

Pull downs, rows, those are all great. But pull ups are all you need to do.

Between Daft Punk and the Strokes, DP should take it all the way. Yet in that list, I think Sigur Ros's 2001 drop had the biggest impact on music. As one of the artists pushing the limits on what music can sound like, what qualifies as an instrument, this album deserves more respect than it gets. Understand that I'm in the minority in this opinion. But nobody hear can tell me that its not a damn good album, powerful and emotionally trenchant.

I just installed a bamboo floor as well, and was a little disappointed with how soft it was after reading Teragren's site. It's definitely softer than the oak flooring the rest of the house has, and I'm not sure it's going to hold up very well in my kitchen. I'm not ready to condemn it yet, but it's not going to be pretty the first time I drop a can on the floor.

I used Greenwood bamboo, which has very low formaldehyde levels (similar to Teragren), and does offer a formaldehyde free variety for about 75 cents/sf extra.

I would recommend greenfloors.com if you're looking for flooring choices... They carry Marmoleum, cork, bamboo, and recycled carpets and padding. I've not tested this, but in theory if you send them a piece of your old carpet they'll tell you if it can be recycled and help you find a place that would take it.

When you consider the amount of large SUVs Ford is selling compared to all the hybrids that there are out there it does seem a little strange that these gas guzzling vehicles are doing better. And let's face it people, who makes station wagons anymore that are "reasonably priced." BMW? Mercedes? OKAY, I will give Mazda credit for making the 6 Sports Wagon but still, it's a small car. Most vehicles are LEV, ULEV, or PZEV rated so it's doing that for the enviorment. And Ford's new vehicles are coming with 6 speed automatics which greatly improve fuel economy. Plus, they run on E85.

If anyone has seen "Blue Vinyl" there is a PVC lobbyist that argues that dioxins are not toxic because they're just chlorine, which is found in salt, which we eat. UV light as a sterilizer is nothing new, and hardly unproven. Yes, some types of glass and plastic can absorb UV light. Perhaps the article left out some details and it's good of you to point this out.

I think it's safe to say a village could more easily find plastic containers than a constant supply of chlorine or iodine. Even if we assume these materials had to be provided to them, once the UV method was established, the village could produce water almost indefinitely with no outside assistance, while chlorine or iodine would need to be resupplied or purchased periodically.

If you're going to demand sources from others, maybe you should provide something a bit more informative than "OK folks whatever" when people disagree.

The military has some different motivations for reducing demands on fossil fuel than environmentalists, but they've got the budget to make ideas like this a reality. Much of our consumer technology was originally developed by the military, so hopefully their focus on alternative energy has the same effect.

Kurt...dude. I hate to pick on you because you everything you say is technically true, albeit misguided.

1) A lot of corn goes to feed animals that humans eventually eat. Ipso facto all the corn grown is for human food.

2) The efficiency of an ethanol engine CAN be much higher than gas. Currently engines are still optimized to run on gas and likely will be for a while. Most important though, ICE's will never, ever, approach the efficiency of electric power.

3) Not to put down organic farming, but you'll never grow enough corn - or anything else - organically to produce the amounts of fuel we need. Not to mention you'll never convince the corn belt to give up their nitrogen.

And lastly, corn is one of the most intensively farmed crops we grow, and we grow a lot of it. By intensive, I mean it uses more pesticides, fertilizers and water than most crops. These factors have to do with the fact that corn is grown as one gigantic monoculture making it susceptible to pests, the breeding of corn that requires high nitrogen levels to thrive and the fact that it is grown in dry, hot places. Not to mention that the wide row spacing of corn allows for more runoff, causing soil loss and ground water pollution - and even more fertilizer cause it keeps washing off.

Corn is possibly the worst thing we could grow, and ethanol is surely the worst thing we could do with it.

What about cellulosic ethanol? It's a pipe-dream and mostly pointless, we can get methanol from cellulose much easier (that's why it's called wood-alcohol).

PS: I don't mean to harp on corn farmers, they're just trying to make a living the best they can. It's up to the gov't to cut corn subsidies and get them growing something else (hemp maybe).

I'm a voter in the 6th and have tried to keep an open mind about this race. It's bothered me though that we've seen very few updates to the Duckworth website since she's announced. I'm sure she's raising money and meeting with bigwigs and such, but I would have loved to see more than her candidacy announcement on her list of "meet Tammy on the campaign trail." There have been a few press releases added in the past week, but it's all a bit too stealth for my tastes these days.

Alexi needs to take more of a "bank teller" approach to the job and earn the best return for his investments. I think that we need to get back to basics and, for now, try to stay solvent. The best thing! Now you get to read 6659 pages of deep technical data and test on it! This should now prove to the World that we SANS certified professionals can memorize vast amounts or information for 1 day. Then in 4 years do it again. I sure hope college educations do not expire! The funny thing is that I can attend Harvard online, but the SANS Organization requires that you go to a poorly run store to take a 5 hour exam. Hell I did not do this in Graduate School.

The one thing that the program did offer was the ability to NOT be a human database. Now that has been scraped. They DO want us to be databases for 1 day!

Scrap the Internet friends - please memorize close to 7000 pages of data.The internet and its usage does not prove knowledge. Please fire you local security admin if they use the internet - the SANS books have all the knowledge (sarcasm).
