Hey Andrew, Good job in doing a thorough review on an exciting new product that is just one example of the uses of this breakthrough in optical lens, which is used most of the Bliss Lights products creating this starfield effect. We have great fun with ours just walking down the street swirling patterns across the streets and buildings. Everyone from kids to grannies gets a kick out of it and is dying with curiousity as to how we are making these amazing effects. And on the dance floor the party goes wild when the beams start swirling over the dancers. It's definitely a "must have" toy for the rave scene!

As for safety, I believe that this class of laser has never resulted in an eye injury and it is mostly courteous that would keep a user from offending others the same as pointing a flashlight in someone's eyes. It is definitely a party in a pocket for those who don't mind getting the attention it brings as soon as you click it on.

You critical reviews about the design have already been thru the R & D stages and the new models now being produced use a more common CR123 battery, have a hole for a lanyard/leash attachment, lighter aluminum body coming soon and other upgrades as well as other designs coming soon.
