Largely just because I could (should?).

Do you think https://letsencrypt.org/ is something GitHub can use to encrypt all custom domains on GitHub Pages? I may know someone...

Re: DVCS and Git Usage in 2014

it may be worth considering creating bridges for users on other systems or even offering assistance in VCS migrations

Agreed. I'd say that's the kind of thing that could affect more than just revenue, but other factors like stock price, which based on Vail's market cap could've created a lot of value.

Not to mention the increase in revenue for photos purchased ($20 / season per visitor can get close to breaking even despite having to add more staff).

Plus the bump in revenue for the previously abandoned race courses (which likely didn't need to add much new technology or staff).

Re: Why Marketing on Social Media is Like Feudalism and What That Means for Resorts

In reading the license and use terms, nobody is granted a license to display Instagram photos anywhere else if not through the supported means (API, IFRAME embeds).

Again, it'd be best to check with someone like a lawyer to be certain.

Re: I Think We’ve Hit a Very Critical Resort Marketing Point of the Summer

Oddly enough, for many resorts, they're excited about how many days are left (Breck just said 100) but have only been closed about that long (108).

So, we're almost as close to closing day to opening day… and folks are still getting excited. And is absolutely something to consider when looking at developing nations — they don't typically have access to high-bandwidth cellular (most communication happening via SMS). With Google launching wifi via blimps in Africa, and Apple putting out the 16 GB iPod Touch today, perhaps its not far off to consider a wireless-only device is part of the 'portfolio'.

Re: Tim Cook's answer to my first question

Doesn't the iPod Touch fill nearly all the same "infinite" jobs in your second point? The biggest one missing being cellular communication (messaging, voice calls) in a device you always carry with you (not a separate phone vs. computer).

It seems through services (iMessage, FaceTime) they're starting to pull the mobile world away from the carrier ties allowing (potentially) easier and more market penetration... right? Then they're just selling devices (like iPods) like they've always been doing. Worth noting, it appears the same appears to be happening with Google via Hangouts (messaging, calls).

Re: There+Are+Sexy+Chivers+Among+Us+%2899+Photos%29

There is nothing here to dislike...

..maybe except this comment.

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re:

Re: Why Twitter “Favorites”
