From the little I know of you by what I read in your posts -- the last thing you should do it beat yourself up. Your writing has alot of integrity and thoughtfulness. We are all human beings and far from perfect. Chalk it up to experience, and move on!!!

Re: Recess, Interrupted

I just read about this on another blog -- I missed this in the Times this week - but thanks for bringing it up! Wow! I am only pleased that the parents spoke up against this ridiculousness... as difficult as recess time can be for some kids, it is the place where they learn to socialize without adults breathing down their necks, where competition is part of the fun and pent up energy from "sitting" all day can be released. I hope other's don't follow suit!

Re: RIP, Dan Fogelberg

I had no idea he had been sick. What a shame. Strange, too - I had just been thinking about his music lately after hearing an interview on NPR with "Babyface" who just released an album with songs from some of my favorites and he has a Dan Fogelberg song on it. It made me think that I should download some of Fogelberg's music for old time sake. I was a big fan back then. I will do it today.

Re: Playing Truth or Troll

I second the above comment. I can't tell you how much respect I have you and your writing. You pulled me in during the Nate Fisher "fiasco" and I have been a fan ever since. Your writing is thoughtful and I always learn something. Keep it up and reach into areas where you are not "expert" - it's what makes you great!

Re: Posthumous Post from Iraq

Wow - I've just come back from reading his entire entry. It's very unnerving and so very sad. Thank-you. Again. For a meaningful post. Once again, you have taught me something.

Re: MySpace Madness: Do You Know What’s Three Links Away?

I feel like we are reliving Nate Fisher! This is an incredible story and I agree, why is it dying down.. this story should serve as catalyst to encourage discussion about this very issue -- too many people can easily have a knee-jerk reaction to something and then upend someone else's career. Once again, the parents are looking for external excuses. I would like to learn more about this... perhaps after Tuesday. Thanks for educating me .... as you always do.
