Is there a way to pull up the charts for gold and oil in Prophet charts?
I see them on CNN Money and Market Watch websites, but it doesn't show the ticker.

I think events like the FOMC announcements are important even if you don't read the announcement, just because of the increase in implied volatility in the option prices.

I've been trying to find the economic news release calendar that you posted a screen shot of a few days ago, in your post titled 'How the Mighty Have Fallen' but I can't find it anywhere.

I've read your book and didn't see anything about price patterns, and I can't remember ever seeing them on the charts you post.
Is there a reason why you don't trade price patterns such as ascending/descending triangles, etc.?

Is anyone else having problems with the Slope of Hope RSS feed?
I'm using Firefox and have several RSS feeds, the rest of them are working fine but the slope of hope one keeps saying "Live bookmark feed failed to load"

That contest makes no sense because Tims blog is very different from yours.
You try to get people to pay for your blog so that they can mindlessly buy the same positions as you and hopefully make money.
Tim shares his charts and ideas, and wants people to learn from them and make their own decisions.

What broker do you use?
I'm curious because I'm in a similar situation; I'm a student with an account of $3000.
I became discouraged trading options with such a small account because when you factor in the commissions - I use OptionsXpress, and they charge $15 a trade - and the spread, the odds of a profitable trade are not very good.
The spreads can be controlled by having a rule to only trade options with small spreads, but when I looked around for a cheaper broker, I found that to open an account with most of them required a $5000 minimum deposit, so I was curious to know what broker you trade with, and how much they charge in commissions?

Hi Jorge,
That's what I was afraid of; I really wish I could use ToS but I live in Canada and unfortunately they don't offer it here (not yet at least).
Interactive Brokers allows Canadians to sign up, but it says the account minimum is something like 10k. I'll send them an email asking if there's any way around that.
