I did have a written journal, many years ago but I don't really know why I stopped writing back then. You're right when you say that with blogging comes self-censorship which in itself is very constraining because when you're in a mood to bitch about something, you can't because it might cause hurt feelings and all that other stuff.

Maybe I should start writing a journal again. This time, just for me, myself and I.

BTW, do half-filled notebooks filled with unfinished fictional stories count as a journal?

I find that usually when I try to write a novel without a deadline, it usually doesn't get completed because I'm totally not motivated and my internal editor makes me think that everything that I put down is crap. So I tried doing NaNoWriMo and I finally did finish the first draft of my novel.

If you're really interested to write a novel, you should try NaNoWriMo. We've got good MLs and write-in every November.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who loves writing and getting letters. I find it more personal and the feeling of anticipation of getting a letter is not something that can be re-created with emails. I wish more people would write letters instead of emails.

I know what you mean when you say expensive. That's why Starbucks and I have ended our relationship but that doesn't mean I don't miss him.
