Any ideas on FAR from NASBA? I took it in Missouri on April 1st. The wait is beginning to kill me. I've now sat for 3 parts (all but REG) and have only received 1 score back, which was luckily a 76. Now I'm praying I get FAR before Friday. Then I can start worrying about BEC. Thanks! All the posts are keeping me entertained at work!

I'm at CA and I took REG on April 4. I haven't received my score yet...I hope it's not a bad sign....It seems like some folks @ CA have received their REG score based on my reading from the comment sections.
I just can't afford to retake REG again - I passed this in 2007 but I had to retake it because the credit expired. ah!
And this will be my last part...I passed FAR and AUD finally after 3-4 attempts...(And passed BEC again last fall). So, I really want this to be the end......

i sat for REG in early April (4/4). it was my second time to take it. I passed REG in 2007 but the credit expired because i kept on failing AUD. :(
so i finally passed AUD in Feb 09. i retook BEC for the same reason last year and i scored 75. now i'm hoping i will pass REG this time....cuz i really want to move on and get it over with >_<
it took me 3 times to pass FARE. 4 times to pass AUD. i just wish i don't hv to go thru that with REG...:(

I just came across this site yesterday, but it's great. I've passed three of the four parts. I took FAR on April 27th and I don't think I can wait until next week to get my score. I never knew all of this information before so it's nice to finally know that there's a system to the reporting. Before I would be checking all day everyday. I took BEC on Jan 5th and I checked everyday for almost 7 weeks. Thanks Jeff for this site. I'm not as stressed anymore. Hopefully I passed FAR and I can be done. I got a 74 on it the first time I took it.

Please take some paper towels, tissues, AND toilet paper to the weight room because that kind of strength training gets messy.

in The Importance of Social Media on Kyle Hepp
Hey Kyle,
I been kind of a lurker on your blog...but just wanted to pop out my virtual shell and say hi. I also wanted to second to everybody the importance of social media. When I moved from AZ to DC, I used my social media contacts to make friends in the virtual world and get a job!

in Kanye West to intern for Louis Vuitton on WoooHa, Inc.
I don’t know about Kanye's new LV sneaker design man, they look like a boat shoe, painted white, a platform added and tassels for no good reason.
They also look like fancy nurses shoe, and I could totally see them being sold on a 14th street storefront.
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with the above qualities. I’m just sayin’.

Yes, most people wouldn't have understood "AMBU", but a nurse who works with patients on vents sure as hell should have.
(Hi Nick, been to your site before but just alerted to the fact that you're now in New York City. I'm also a vent user, living at home.)

in How can I make 10 months go by fast? I have baby fever and I have to wait!? on Scrapbooking Baby
Try a hobby! Maybe something that could benifit the baby like child care classes. If not try knitting, or start a book club, sunday afternoon meetings with your other friends, yoga, volunteer work, writing, anything that appeals to you. Or take more classes at your college or voluteer at the colleges day care center if they have one. You could also try cooking classes. Or get a job to start saving money.

yeah i noticed the similarities as well, it's kind of annoying that they had to go and ruin it though. Quite frankly, I'd choose David Bowie over Pan's Labyrinth any day.

Michelle Obama on one of the many LGBT issues out there:
The World As It Should Be: What Michelle Really Said
Now if those of us who are L, G, B and/or T can just stay focused on what Senator Obama's actual role is, and not project all our hopes and dreams on him (he is not going to lead our fights and he should not!) ... we and others can maybe fully appreciate what Mrs. Obama is saying here and its consistency with what Senator Obama has been saying for some time.
I say this knowing that Senator Obama also recently met and is deliberately reaching out to evangelical Christians -- who not only have actual LGBT people among them (it's true!) but also are as real and present a part of this nation as us non-evangelical-Christian LGBT people.
I could say that their theology teaches *them* to hate *us* (under the guise of our sexuality being a sin). But the they/we distinction breaks down somewhat knowing the lived reality of people like my girlfriend. She left the Southern Baptist church (where she was raised and active) in her early 20s. But NOT because she was a lesbian. She left because the theology unraveled for her, and particularly in its suggestion that Jews would go to hell -- she had a Jewish teacher, friend and mentor and couldn't accept that.
Once that piece went, my girlfriend's sharp mind saw the whole theology fall apart. It wasn't til she was 30 that she came out to herself. Then later she ended up in a relationship with a Jew herself.
To me understanding the range of who and what makes up this country, and acting from a non-us/them approach is all part of what it means for Senator Obama to so accurately and effectively seek the presidency of this country. I see him knowing, learning and acting in response to what it is actually capable of -- and what it is not.
