I kind of like thinking of myself as a Romantic Fun-Loving Tree Hugger. Didn't quite get the tree hugging part but I guess you have to hug them to climb them.

I have to disagree with you on number 8. If necessity is the mother of invention then laziness is the father. Without laziness we would not have remote controls or video games. We might not even have computers, television or social networks.

A case could be made that adsense splogs are a result of laziness but I think it really comes from extreme slothiness.

It is just so much more fun to comment just for the sake of commenting. It all flows easier and the comments get written much faster. The time spent worrying about dofollow, nofollow, couldfollow, shouldfollow and didfollow could much better be spent leaving more comments in more interesting places.

Surfing, learning and participating is a much better path to be on. Do I really want to spend my time trying to figure out what to say on a whole lot of blogs that aren't interesting? The real payoff seems to come from commenting on every decent post that I read or at least one post on every decent blog I read.

If I left a comment on every good post of Jack's I wouldn't have enough time to write for myself.

Nofollow or dofollow, I still moderate all comments and off the ones that do not add to the conversation or at least ask a legitimate question.

The dog sliding into the pool is great but I am worried about the little white dog sneaking off in the background. Is the blender locked up?

Using the pool is one thing but violate the tequila and get the straight water and kibble diet.

It is all about striving to be the best that you can be. Sounds a bit like a commercial slogan but it is the truth. You might not be the best but why leave anything on n the table. What are you waiting for?

Being willing to work long and hard is great but the real goal should be to work smarter.

If someone was buying a home from you they would ask a lot of questions and do an inspection. If you know about a defect that you do not disclose, the law says you are fully liable for the cost to repair the problem plus damages. In some states selling a business such as website falls under real estate law.

Sticking just to ethics, if you think it might be a problem, you should pratice full disclosure. Otherwise you just become another internet sleaze merchant.

You would also be missing the bigger profit picture. Maybe someone buying a website needs someone to make it into an even bigger website and is willing to pay.

Howie really does need to start shaving more often.

Shame you don't dance as well as you do social marketing.

That sure got a quick rise out of the folks at HubPages! It is nice that they share some revenue but there is need for better models. They will probably start appearing as Web2.0 expands.
