Tough call. I'll go for freelancewritinggigs.com, which consistently provides great job leads as well as posts on issues of interest to freelancers. I'd love to be able to give another vote to my other favorite blog, menwithpens.ca, but rules are rules.

@ Carrie: Writing for free is for promotion. If clients want a sample, I sometimes say that it will be published on my blog. I can always remove it if they want to pay for it. :)
