The FCC got it all wrong in this comcast case and i have to agree with your assessment that the whole 'net neutrality cause' has been severely jeopardized!! Mat be we can look back in hindsight and say that was the incident that marks the end of 'net neutrality': The Net Neutrality Fearmongers Are At It Again(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=556&doc_id=160628&F_src=flftwo)

This is so true!! People at the extreme end of this net neutrality are seeing everything about the broadband providers as evil and this to me is a fundamental flaw in their argument. WE should know that the carriers have legitimate reasons for doing what they are doing now as Andr Keen pointed out:The Net Neutrality Fearmongers Are At It Again(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=556&doc_id=160628&F_src=flftwo)

But how can we archieve this projected broadband penetration if governement is not directly involved because it seems the ISPs would have no interest in doing that. Let's hope the punishment does not make a mockery of the situation. Those that are arguing the case against Micr-Hoo should just rethink their stance upon seeing the figures. It will be disastrous for the internet if Google is allowed to have its way. Google isn't replacing Microsoft, but it is utterly dominating search. The fact of the matter is that they still have the best results and until someone gets better ones, that isn't going to change -- even if Microsoft buys Yahoo.
