in Compete Data Confirms Decrease in Facebook Traffic on AllFacebookWe need to look at this in terms of a year on year comparison to better understand whether it's a trend or not.
Having worked in a field with massive seasonal variations (namely travel) we need to consider seasonality with a reference point.
Also consider the number of corporations who now ban this during office hours. It's clearly still got a fanatical user base, even if many are unable to log in during office hours.

in The feuding over my Facebook fetish on Scobleizer
I'm convinced that facebook is the single most important development in the history of mankind..
I'm convinced of this!
It's certainly the fastest viral distribution system ever...
Thank you Robert for taking time out and really getting your hands dirty with Facebook. It's appreciated! It cant be easy with all the backlash... I for one appreciate your efforts.

in The rise of the Facebook blogs on Scobleizer
When I saw the rate at which new facebook blogs are emerging, I decided to set up a social news site (a la digg) for facebook news here: http://facebump.com
Hopefully the wise crowd will help filter the important news to the top.

in Why Mahalo, TechMeme, and Facebook are going to kick Google’s butt in four years on Scobleizer
You've hit the nail on the head!!!!
Facebook has clearly disrupted everything, I've not been this excited about the Internet in about 7 years...
Most people still "don't get it" because they're trying to apply old school thinking to a medium that has nothing in common with the old medium.
Most people I deal with daily, cannot seem to let go of this old school thinking and they try to apply traditional direct marketing.
Just as "news groups" became extinct, so will Google.
I'm hearing ya!
Hell yeah!

in The Wrong Idea About Facebook Apps on AllFacebook
I think you're absolutely correct. There appears to be widespread missunderstanding of how to leverage facebook through app development. It seems that the true value is in the userbase as well as (of course) the engagement of the user.
