But Macy's State Street, which is "doing badly," isn't doing anything to ingratiate itself with customers who actually go in the store. You would think that Macy's State St management and employees would be making a special effort, but they aren't. (Looptopia doesn't count. Window displays don't count. African plants don't count. A survey doesn't count.) No one in that store gives a badger's ass.

Re: Kudos: NBC 5 Chicago links to DanielHonigman.com

Wow, you graduate tomorrow? I'm going to email Mr. Kravis about that right now.

Re: Chicago 2016 Update: 2016 Olympic bid cities announced

And of those six cities, two (Madrid and Prague), maybe three (if Tokyo ever gets some signs in English), of those are actually viable competition.

Re: Rest In Peace: Adam Honigman (1954-2007)

I'm sorry, Daniel.

Re: Tidbit of the Day: McDonald’s to offer premium coffee

I tried a McDonald's cappuccino at their coffee bar on George St. in Sydney, and thought it tasted like liquid styrofoam with a bitter aftertaste. Actually, it was like throwing up a little in your mouth, with a vague coffee flavor. So, no, I probably wouldn't try it again.

Re: Tidbit of the Day: A new job awaits - The Chicago Tribune!

Very cool, Daniel.
