GREAT FREAKING POST!!! I agree fully and wish i could have chimed in sooner. These freaking retards are destroying the fabric of the internet by screwing with links.

Great tips Chris, everyone keeps forgetting that for the most part, no one cares what you are saying unless it directly relates to them.

Note to everyone: keep your stories short please!

On the other side, in terms of making a connection, there is always something you can find in common with people.

Ari did an excellent job! These republicans have been pulling the wool the publics eyes for way too long. Look how well they managed to divert the focus of the campaign away from the actual issues.

ha ha, thats what they get for being soo slow to react. I told them years ago to put all of their content online so they would dominate the search engines, but they didnt listen. lol

Andy, are you sure about not knowing full the power of A/B testing? That is hard to believe.

The inner scientist within some of us developers/marketers jumped for joy when this technology came out.

Unless you want to pay for an endless supply of focus groups you better start A/B and multivariate testing now.

BTW, you ABC interview was well done.

Highly useful post!

Now I can start cracking down on bad web hosts, and trust me there is no shortage of them! I have had major outages on the biggest like Digex so its not just the small hosts with problems.

I have been using siteuptime for years without any problems, but I havent tried any other services... until now!

@Igor,

fight the power bro!

Groupthink is just another form of "not thinking" something which 99% of all humans have a problem with..

@Andy,

I hope you are joking about not promoting an idea just because its two days old... ...the movement to impeach Bush is way older than that

I have been twitering a lot, and if you search Friendfeed there are lots of stories about this people could "like"

Stumbleupon is also a viable channel as it is timeless.

I havent tried any of the other services yet, mainly because the set up is kinda tedious, but YouMail has been really useful to me.

I have been using for about a year now and wondered how i used to live with out it. I much rather listen to my voice mails on my pc for free!

And setting up customized voice mail greetings for different callers is much easier through YouMail than my blackberry.

And I missed last years post covering Sebastian X, so I would like to say here, his technical posts are priceless. They saved me countless hours of development time!

What a bunch of idiots, someone should get fired for that. What decade are they in?

Or maybe they have parlayed this into global exposure and minimal expense, unless their legal fees are high.

But the global exposure is not that useful if their ideology appears to be backwards.

Matt As a Belgian I have to say I don't like your opening statement. Shit on the people (webmasters) that never heard of a robottext, preventing spiders from crawling their site. But don't generalise a whole country thinking they're still living in the Dark ages or something to that order.

Anyway, It was the same with that idiot porn site that sued google for indexing their images in their image search results.

On both of these cases it's all the webmasters fault. Case closed.

in Why You Should Nofollow Your Blog Comments? on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
First, I would hope that most most seeking sites for the followed link would find Andy's blog because of its massive amount of actionable SEO techniques, news and blogging insights.

Next, a nofollow tag is not as powerful as its made out to be. If you think its hindering your traffic then you are missing the fundamentals which make or break products.

Andy is extending a hand in friendship in "following" his comment links. Its a minor gift to your users, your major gift should be in your content. I have seen even the most obscure of phrases bring visitors in, so content covering topics people are really passionate about rain in the traffic, hint hint

You want a good reason to "follow" your blog comments?

Because President Google is Roswelling us with the nofollow tag having us looking like the three stooges clanging our heads together, knucklehead :)

Igor's comments always delight with the triple threat of humor, usefulness and excitement.

Andy's posts are wicked!

in Why Microsoft will buy Facebook and keep it closed on Scobleizer
Microsoft better do something fast. I see the pros and cons of what they are doing and enjoy the battle between them and Google.

Google is turning into MSFT, who has been jipping us consumers for years. The amount of money spent on Vista and XP should have produced better results. Open sources products with little funding have been producing tight releases whereas Microsft

in Marketers; Are You Charging Your Clients Enough? on Marketing Pilgrim
Yeah Kevin,

smaller agencies or ones run by individuals dont really have the leverage to make dramatic price increases even though we surely do deserve them

in fact i have found that small projects with weak budgets are becoming harder and harder to do these days considering the complexity of campaigns

so i am increasing prices and looking for bigger fish to fry also

between spotrunner and this, the marketing landscape has changed dramatically in recent years. soo many barriers to entry have been taken down its amazing.

Google is becoming king of ad agencies, watch out Ogilvy, they have already crowned themselves the governing body of the internet
