We all also know that we accept this risk along with the joy that comes with riding.
I for one do not read these type of articles, as they serve no purpose except to excite fear that is ill placed. If a certain article "can serve as a "call to action" then there is a spot for that, but, personally, I don't need my shot of tragedy.
Course, what do I know? I haven't seen, heard or watched an organized newscast in over 10 years! (I'm still alive and having fun, too! Amazingly enuf!)

Re: Kickstart’s Guide to Northwest Biker Cuisine

How would you like us to let you know about places?

Re: It can happen to anyone…

He should have beeen cited for being a complete dumbass and had his license yanked for a few years.

Re: New U.S. Transportation Secretary Urges Motorcyclists to Take Greater Responsibility for Personal Safety

So when do we get to start seeing some public education spots like Great Britain and Aust/New Zealand are running with regularity? Yes, we must be responsible, but ask Ben Rothlesburger how much responsibility would have helped him. Just about as much as it would have helped me this evening as I avoided some woman doing a leftie in front of me, like I was never even there. This country has to start doing something to wake up the "cagers"!!!!!

Re: A Motorcycle-Friendly Washington Voter’s Guide

Derek Kilmer needs to be added to the good guy side. If the teen would have had insurance (which, you're right, he probably wouldn't have regardless of laws) the teenage girl's parents would have some recourse to recoup at least funeral expenses. Now they will probably sue the parents of the boy driving. Who win in that? Driving without insurance in any state or any vehicle is just plain stupid, IMHO, and can only result in financial disaster and should be required everywhere.

Re: How Many Days in Jail This Guy Will Get?

This guy should be strung up by his balls!

Re: “Dead Biker” Stories…

Mark, I believe that we all know the dangers that are inherent in the decision to get some "breeze on the knees".
