Fluid, adaptable design retains users, because users demand the ability to have fluidity of identity, functionality and interaction--or else they will take advantage of the Greater Fluidity and move on. Concrete sandboxes will only attract and retain concrete lovers because there are sandboxes constructed of all sorts of different materials and scales just around the corner. They won't have a chance to affect consumers.

We behave with "wedding manners" because the social costs of not conforming are viewed as big to us. Increasingly environments will only be object-centered if their value is quickly discernible as being huge.

I worry that a lot of bloggers, especially on the mom blog beat, suppress bad mentions because they hope for sponsorship. Couple that with contests and other brand-led gimmicks and it brings into question the activity of "seeking out" a brand connection.

My three reasons:

1. Cookies are the best way to express "I Girl-Love You" to other ladies. I would wear that slogan on a T-shirt if you made it, but the cookies would work better for girls.

2. Savoring a cookie on your mat and listening to a story before taking a nap is the daily secret to success. Ask any pre-schooler.

3. Cookies are the distillation of the finest things, and therefore can be balm a troubled soul, can dissolve barriers and can offer transcendence. I want some of that, please!

People are so funny. But now that I see how people feel about that little prank, I think it's time to say:

I am the real Tim Ferriss.

I thought my ideas would sell better if they weren't from a single mother of 2 teenagers, so I hired a hunky male model to make some videos and travel around a few hours a week as my lead character.

I've spent many years in the education, social service and NGO fields. I'd like you to consider that a very simple, clean room with some supplies and mats is adequate but not opulent. All children deserve an uplifted environment that conveys a sense of care and connotes the importance of education. Sometimes cutting corners to build at the bare minimum doesn't accomplish the goal--though it sounds like it was indeed created for very little money!.

Interesting. I think about it more in terms being able to bend time than I do in creating a greater "value" for your time that would translate into a higher salary or even capacity--those are just additional benefits. If you think of time as linear, you'll be stabbed continually on the point of your own line. When you are in the zone doing what you love--even if that is doing nothing sitting on the edge of a river- time bends to a much happier shape. That's the real compounding (and compelling) interest.

Charging users fees is looking in the wrong direction for revenue. We need to think of users as the suppliers, not the customers. Twitter would be better served to generate proprietary ways manipulate and package its abundance of user generated content. By targeting B2B analysis, and by creating trafficed channels beyond Search, Twitter would have revenue streams, some of which could be used to pay quality.

I think what we are all noticing is the failure of a decent economic model to emerge to support writers who blog. In its absence, we are getting some base common denominator stuff that is led by advertisers and the (too often) inauthentic spokespeople who want to represent them. We need a new way!
