in iTunes replaces one evil with another on Shooting at Bubbles
This has been the case ever since the release of iTunes+ and it's not a watermark, it's metadata. If it was an audio watermark you wouldn't be able to find it as plain text within the file.
If you're really paranoid a metadata editor can probably remove it.

How is it amazing that the plane survived? You think planes, as big metal objects that fly through the air, aren't designed to survive lightning strikes?

The original segment of the show was posted on youtube, and the entire thing is absolutely cringe-worthy.

... you're using a video player that starts playing when I accidentally mouse over it?
I would've thought this was obvious, but that just makes it feel like spam.

Done doesn't mean translated, or at least that's the excuse they give for most of the huge european delays.
Also, there have been numerous reports that this was a paper launch - Nintendo only shipping 25% of preorders to some stores.
One rumor I read was that the delay is so they can print enough disks to make sure they don't sell out in America. Sounds like a pretty good idea tbh, the buzz for this game won't die down just because they held back the release a little bit.

The bumper sticker thing is one of the bonus extras you need friend tokens to unlock. Have you noticed little achievement-like tokens that pop up as you kill every 100 bad guys through the game - along with a few hidden ones? Once you've activated the wiiconnect24 integration, you can send your tokens to anyone on your wii friends list (people with the game show up in black) and they can send tokens to you.
Also in the friend token bonus extras list is a cool bobble-head toy for your ship dashboard, a screenshot tool and some pretty useless dioramas.

hm, it probably isn't obvious from my comment... I meant ridley (who as far as I know isn't actually the leader of the space pirates), not the parasite queen.

I had this evil grin on my face during the entire battle with said boss in MP3 - his theme music has been right up there on my all-time favourite game music list ever since I heard the first Metroid Prime rendition.

I'm not surprised at all by the extremely low numbers for the Wii. It needs to be that low to fit in such a small case and require only one small fan.
More power usage means more heat generated (at least until someone invents a 100% efficient CPU and becomes the richest person in the world).

It seems that the in-house neversoft version (360, ps3) is the only one they care about. I haven't looked for any PS2 reviews but the other outsourced ones (wii, pc) are nowhere near the quality of their primary release.

I agree, the boss battles suck - but you must've been playing on medium difficulty. Once you hit hard it's more like expert from GH2 and even with the relaxed note timing you need to be damn good to finish it.
A little OT, but you might be interested to hear that the wii version isn't anywhere near as good:
http://spyder.wordpress.com/2007/11/11/little-bit-dissapointed-in-gh3s-wii-release/
And I can't remember if Aeropause reported on this one, but the wii version was released in mono:

I do, and it remembers the URL now that I've ticked "remember personal info" - but the first time I commented it didn't automagically use the URL that I entered when I signed up.

Jonathan Coulton has some of the funniest songs around (you can listen to the full songs on his store, check out Code Monkey and his cover of Baby Got Back) :)

Not a huge fan of signing up to comment but I wanted to comment on the portal post.
Couple of issues:
1) The Atom feed (and signup email) is calling this Aeropause-New. At least the feed is finally including paragraph tags, I was getting so sick of the wall-of-text that the atom feed had become that I was about to post some angry forum messages :)
2) Why do the comments want me to re-enter my URL and make me tick the remember personal info box when I entered my URL in the account signup page ;)

in Unreal Tournament 3 PC Demo Impressions on Aeropause Games
The original story made for a cool intro but I never cared about it once I was in the game. I'm still glad I picked it over Quake 3 though, I can remember agonising over the decision for a few days when they were both released at the same time :)

so... a minor spoiler warning would've been nice for those of us who don't live in America and haven't seen a Metroid Prime 3 release yet :P

in Some Shots of Bioshock on the PC on Aeropause Games
My rig is 3 years old, with a few minor upgrades; single core 3500+, 2gb ram, x1950 pro 256mb. I can run it 1280x800 full settings, at 1920x1200 it's a bit too laggy. I rekon with my planned upgrade to dual core CPU it will run that resolution fine.
Also, did you know that widescreen support is gimped? Stupid lazy devs...
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11658
Even so, I played the demo completely through both ways and I think I'll stick with widescreen.

in Where Oh Where is the Wii? on Aeropause Games
cisco hit the nail on the head... the wii sales rate has been faster than any other console tracked on vgchartz.com - only the DS and GBA come close - I wouldn't be surprised if it's the fastest selling console ever.
The wii continues to outsell both the 360 and PS3 every month. That speaks volumes about the production rate; it's easy to keep stock in store when you're not selling as fast :)

in http://www.aeropause.com/2007/08/microsoft-releases-windows-vista-performance-update/ on Aeropause Games
vista's memory management was already vastly improved over xp, particularly if you add a cheap USB key for readyboost. it doesn't matter how much ram it uses when the system is more responsive than xp under the same circumstances :P
I haven't noticed much difference with the update, although it does seem that as claimed, the offline file sync behaviour has improved (I use a linux samba server).
