Thanks Sean, Talking to Sir Charles was a real treat. There aren't that many people with his depth of knowledge and historical perspective. If you think about it, he has been at the centre of classical music for six decades. In those years, he has seen all kinds of changes. In some areas, like period instrument performance and the operas of Janacek, he has helped bring those changes about.

in WSJ: The Unsung Success of Live Classical Music on Naxos Blog
Botstein's article was absolutely spot-on brilliant. It's great to hear some refreshing ideas regarding the consumption of classical music. People are clearly more than interested and Botstein doesn't succumb to the doom and gloom that infects so much of contemporary comment on the genre.

in Podcast: Pictures at an Exhibition on Naxos Blog
Absolutely brilliant. It's wonderful to hear such a familiar work in a new light, in both orchestration - and in the case of podcast host Raymond Bisha - narration as well.

in World-premiere recording of Lully’s Psyché at the Boston Early Music Festival on Naxos Blog
I was at BEMF when this production premiered and was at the first performance. Without question, it was one of the greatest opera performances I've ever attended. The recording will be most welcome.

in Naxos of America, Inc. heralds an exciting new partnership with Delos on Naxos Blog
This is huge news. Delos is truly one of the great American labels. They championed American music long before it was fashionable. It will be great to see their fine releases back in the marketplace.
