They give you a local number in place of the international, but it only really works for people you call regularly.

Re: o2: You can’t upgrade your iPhone to 3GS

o2 must be losing customers to this. I don't mind paying off the subsidy to upgrade, but I'm not prepared to pay off for a load of minutes/wifi and texts that will never be used. That just seems insane... What they should have said is its something like £15 a month chargeback to upgrade and renew your contract.

Well done mobile subsidy model, cant keep up with the pace of change now you've gone 18 or 224 months and now you're loosing customers to it :-)

Re: Want unlocked, unsubsidised handsets? I think that's what was being communicated. I've since read that this isn't actually the case, and that Mobistar have even removed that reference from their website.

It must have been to discourage iPhone tourists that had no plan to use their network :-)

Re: Want unlocked, unsubsidised handsets? And when will they be sold online ready to ship to us in the UK via some grey import site - in fact i'd be pretty sure this is already being done... got the link ;-)

Cheers,
Steve.

Re: Have you got your me.com username?

Well I defo can't get into my username even though I have the sign-up confirmation email welcoming me to me.com

Something screwy is defo going on!

Re: Have you got your me.com username?

Oh dear apple!

This is most definitely a cock up! It lets you register a name, but you then can't login with those details.

Even though I got the Welcome email it doesn't work. If you go to recover password you will see that in actual fact its someone elses security question!

Oh dear Apple. Looks like someone forgot to load in the .Mac used addresses into the username checking database! :-)

Trouble is - How do I now cancel my Credit Card details out of that account!

Re: Have you got your me.com username?

Interesting! Seeing as they are transitioning all the .Mac addresses to Me.com I'm not sure how they are coping with this. I just grabbed a good username that wasn't available last week via mac.com so maybe they've had bit of a purge of dead addresses... I'm sure there couldn't have been many people left using Mac.com.

....Or maybe this is a cockup :-)

Gmail still beats this hands-down though. If Google Apps for your domain did proper push email/contacts etc to the iPhone then it would be game over Microsoft and Apple.
