Made me think a lot. The sad thing is that people would skip a meal a day if they had to in order to attend a church that was more like what they wanted. In the coming years we'll see if this prediction comes true. I think the message to us all is that we need to engage in our local churches instead of going to the next church down the road every time there is something we don't like.

Re: Ubuntu: I am, because we are

I thought you were advertising for the free Linux based OS www.ubuntu.com

:)

Re: Leg-Dropping For Jesus

um... ouch?

Re: American Idol and Shout To The Lord, Take 2

Sorry that would be-

It was a good move (smart strategy to please the masses).

It shows that they really are trying to target mainstream Christians (because leaving out Jesus offended many).

I guess you took that comment the wrong way. I prefer to have the sacred permeate (not kept separate) from the secular, but "performing" a worship song on American "Idol" probably isn't the best way to do that

Re: Logan Laituri: Courageous Coward

thanks for the excellent article :)

Re: Is “black magic” real?

There are indications in scripture as well as countless stories of missionaries with first-hand experience that "magic" on some level exists in as much as there is a spiritual power struggle that goes on behind the veil of the natural world. To what extent, I'm not sure. However, I don't take things like witchcraft or "magic" lightly.

Simply put "black magic" is the dark opposite to a miracle. Thankfully,l we serve a God that has overcomed the world and the powers of the enemy.
