Where ever did you find all of these sites? I've never heard of any of these, and I'm into this kind of stuff! Very nice list. Props.

Luckily, I only write about those topics that REALLY interest me (stuff I'm very proud of). I'm a pretty lazy guy by nature, so I wouldn't be able to write in the first place otherwise. And this is really quite a useful post. Thanks.

I agree with sbspalding. The closer you get to simulating real-life situations, the better the training is. No doubt about it.

I've been using ObjectDock for numerous years now. My only complaint about it is that there is no option to remove the taskbar icon. Also, the idea of xPlorer is good, but I must say, it's not a very pretty program.

@jason: Launchy looks really interesting. I'm going to give it a try.

I agree with your opinion. I'd stay with Firefox just for now, because it IS in fact still in its beta stages. In the future when it's got more users, support, and addons, I might consider giving it a go.

Wow, I could have used this when I first got into computers! Even now, though, I learned a thing or two from the glossary of internet terms.

While a logo is something that everyone sees, I do not think that it is of much importance. A good logo is only helpful in the case of a new start-up business without much publicity. But Wal-Mart is a multi-billion dollar corporation, and it already has a great name for it. I really think that people could care less about its logo--only its good prices.

I have reinstalled Firefox so many times on various computers, and the first plugin I always jump on is the Download Status Bar plugin. I also hate it with a passion. It's nice to have a little bar on the bottom that you can always glance at to see the percentage of the downloads.

Then I always get Foxmarks. I have a computer and a laptop that I use all the time, and I need the same bookmarks on both, so this little plugin works wonders for me.

Well, the best video site really depends on what one is looking for. One of the reasons youtube is popular is because... well, it's popular. It holds so many opportunities for new users to post up videos because of the huge amount of viewers. It's easy to upload something and get thousands of viewers flocking to it within days. The other video sites are good ideas too, though. Some are better than others, but they're all useful for their own purpose.

Great video. It's really ridiculous how fast technology is moving. And the fact that it is all generally quite new is even more ridiculous. When was the new computer made? 1940s or so? It hasn't even been 100 years and we now have gadgets that do so many things for us. It's scary to think of what we'll have in 50 years.

Number 4 is the most important step, I believe. I have seen so many great "potential" articles with amazing ideas, yet they have no coherence, or are just boring to read. It's very important to go back through what you have written and make it concise, yet to the point and easy to read. It only takes 5 minutes to do, and yet people still are lazy to do it.
