I've been using Finetune for about three months and feel fully satisfied with its service. As a matter of fact, it surpassed my expectations as a customized Internet Radio.

Finetune is now my daily companion in my blogging activities. I strongly recommended it if you want a high-quality Internet Radio with a wide range of musical selections.

I've been using Flock 1.0 for the last two days and everything worked fine until yesterday afternoon.

Several of my pages are not working properly due to JavaScript. I've written to Flock about it and still waiting for an answer.

Do you have similar problems?

Hi Pete:

I think you're being too harsh with Flock. I've been using this social browser since it first came out as a Developer's Preview and have seen it evolve to become the best browser for blogging.

It widely excels at:

1. Search information on the Internet with the smart search engine features.
2. Photo management totally integrated with Photobucket and Flickr. No other browser comes close to what Flock is actually doing to aid the blogger manage and share photos.
3. Storing information using "Web Snippets" just by "dragging and dropping" it to the blog editor.
4. Blogging directly to a blog editor embedded inside Blog.

Tomorrow Flock will fix the memory leak problem which has not been addressed by Mozilla Firefox.

Bart Decrem is still the Chairman of Flock and and will oversee its operations. Steve Jobs left Pixar, but that didn't collapse that movie corporation. In fact, it later made a fabulous deal merging with Disney Studios.

No, Flock is not in for trouble. In fact it has just started to get better. Just wait and see.

I enjoyed reading your post very much. I liked your objective approach, since most of the reviews I've read are fanatically oriented.

In my case, I have a tendency to use Firefox for several reasons. First, because I'm accustomed to it and use it with an "automatic pilot", if you know what I mean. Second, because of its endless possibilities of customization. For example, today Google announced another upgrade of its Toolbar. Now it's in my Firefox working seamlessly. Third, is the dedicated customer service of Firefox staff and support forums. Whenever I have a problem, I get an answer in less than one minute. That's pretty fast.

Right now I'm using Flock, Opera 9 TP2, IE7 Beta 2 and Firefox 1.5.0.1. All except IE has its own features that I like, so I use them according to my needs. Launching them is fast and effortless. Sometimes I have two browsers open at the same time and switch between them as easy as switching from one tab to another. Flock is another story and will not tackle it in this comment.

Just my two cents worth, regarding your excellent and objective post.

I downloaded Rocket Post basic and it's so complicated that I have not been able to use it. The configuration process requires a PHD in rocket science. If you want people to use your product, you have to make it useful and easy to use. So easy to use like an iPod and iTunes.

Regarding Flock's hype, I really don't see an issue there. Since they released their DP version (not a finished product), they have continually upgraded it to wipe out reported bugs. I'm writing the comment with Flock 0.5.12 and it works so well, I sometimes forget it is a DP version.

The addition of Spellbound checking speller made it better, as well as using another social bookmarks dubbed Shadows. Just let Flock's Devs some time and space and they will deliver a useful and "different" social tool; not necessarily a traditional web browser.

Read your post and followd your guideline. All my extensions are now working as they did with my previous version of Firefox 1.07. Thanks a lot. I had read about it but was reluctat to do it, fearing that it could hamper my Firefox 1.5 version.

However everything worked according to the book. Thanks a lot for this tip. I'm spreading the word at my block; Epiac's Place. Take a look.
