What we're saying is that the store should honor its incorrect tag. If you go to a supermarket, say, and you buy a frozen pizza because the tag says $6.99, but it scans at $9.99, many stores will give it to you for the lower price because it's their mistake.

It's irresponsible to leave a mistaken label, and not correct it immediately.

Actually, its speedy as hell. I bought an oversized Ultra cooler, but in the end I didn't put it in. Not sure why. Like you said, it seemed like overkill for something that's supposed to be an office machine.

But no, it's fast. Those 4GB of RAM sure help. :)

Logan, there's no denying Parker's a fictional character. There's a rather large disclaimer at the bottom of the Talkathon page, with the following gem "The Parker Whittle character depicted herein is fictitious and his activities are described for illustrative purposes only."

That said, as far as a McCann schtick is concerned, this is pretty entertaining. And, yeah, for a good cause so for once I'm all ears. :)

@Mr. Bumble. I just want to point out that we weren't trying to get something for nothing. Aside from the two prizes, there was a $200 cash award. This is the same amount we're paying the team at Splitreason (that we're partnering with for the shirts).

@ PXLated. I understand the frustration. But there's a reason contests have rules. If you read them here: http://www.ohgizmo.com/2008/04/03/design-the-oh... You'll notice #8, which basically says we reserve the right to select nothing at all. And speaking of wasted time or effort, the same would go to everyone who didn't win, even if we had in fact chosen a winner.

Still, sorry to disappoint. But we're only doing this because we want a shirt that everyone can get excited about.

Andrew, for the record, I delete about five emails a day from people asking similar questions: "can I buy in bulk? Will you ship to China? Can you give me discount?" It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Alex, yes, the logo is the one you see in the banner. However, you can grab yourself a high-resolution version by carefully reading rule #5 up there. As for the T-Shirt design, it's pretty generic. What we really need is the graphic that will go on the shirt.

@ Ryan. Actually, I should scratch this whole question. Turns out I'll be at Buttonwillow, because of the racetrack. I was under the impression Bakersfield is closer, but it's actually 28 miles away. I'm not complaining though. Racetrack time > sightseeing. Anytime. :)

@ Hiswnger2m I just want to mention that the new Cobalt has a Turbo. The previous model was supercharged, but the new model has pretty much the same engine as the Saturn Sky Red Line... If I'm not mistaken. I'll give you more details when I have them.

But this was a $400 barebones kit from TigerDirect, and that seemed like a good price. So I bought it, and now I'm just trying to have a little conversation with my readers about the stuff I bought.

Actually, Alex, that's the exact motherboard I got, and putting two 8600 in SLI is exactly what I had in mind. I don't have the second 8600 yet, but at $100, it shouldn't be long before I order it. I'll do a post when it comes in, and you can help me out then :)
