In this particular instance I say NO. What happened here was obviously reeeeeeaaaallly wrong and individual A needs to take extreme measures if necessary to stop the harrassment from B.

However, in a more general case, I don't think everyone doing business online needs to disclose their information. If the co. is legitimate then there should be ways to reach the company without knowing everyone's names behind the scenese. Some people just aren't comfortable putting it all out there. Again, I think it depends on the business and the service. If you were a private investigator, you might not want your face and name all over your site for obvious reasons.

I'm guessing it got out of hand because he was trying to incite a riot. If you look at all the tweets for @Dayngr and @MailOurMilitary you won't find a single inflamatory remark. He was going off all by himself and sadly none of what he was saying about me or eMailOurMilitary was accurate or valid. It was like he was just making it up as he went along to stir the pot. Sad but there are people out there like that.

If he knew anything about eMail Our Military he'd know that the people who register to support the troops through them understand that regardless of their personal views on politics the goal is to support the troops. That's built into their Code of Ethics and folks who don't follow the rules will no longer be part of the program.

Pretty much everyone involved in support the military through eMoM are really proud to stand behind our service members and thank them for everything the do on a daily basis.

PS. I breastfed my babies and carried them in slings too and at times have been called many names including a bleeding heart liberal. I guess all of that is subjective.

This is not far fetched at all. Why wouldn't terrorists use the media (new media and social media included) to further their goals and get information? Everyone else is using for their businesses.

I have zero issues with confidence. None. I find that so many people do though.

I agree with Rick M. "Confidence can be circumstantial". You can be totally confident in one area and lacking in another.

For me, I found that one sure way to destroy confidence was to appear unsure. In my former occupation as a tech intructor I never used the words "I don't know" if I didn't know the answer. That was a surefire way to lose my classes confidence in me. If I didn't know an answer, I always used "that is an excellent question" and later researched it and got back to the student.

I'd also suggest brevity, it works. Try it.

Use cc's and bcc's appropriately for the sake of everyone's sanity.

Finally, don't email someone a few steps away from you unless it HAS to be in writing. That's just silly and a huge waste of time and enery.

I believe the number one reason people make it so difficult to comment is due to spam and anonymous comments. Personally, I don't accept anonymous comments. If you have to be anonymous to comment then you probably shouldn't be saying it to begin with. I hate capchas and having to regsiter just to comment. I use comment moderation to deal with these issues on my blog.

If I may add my 2 cents here, Carnival Cruise Lines (for example) has a team of folks in place to manage communities. At CCL, these folks are a part of the Internet Marketing Team so it is like a marriage between IT and Marketing. These folks use social media tools like twitter (and so many more) to track and monitor the buzz about CCL, quell rumors and disseminate useful information. I do have one major issue though with your post, it's the part where you say It’s enough to make me want to move to Australia. America is great because of it's diversity and because great people fought to make it as amazing as it is. If you love it, stay and help usher in change. If you don't then maybe you should go elsewhere.

I liked the right better but if you go with the left, make sure there is some room between the pic and the text cause right now it looks very cluttered.

There's no question you mom rocked it out with her fabulosity - just look at how well you turned out. Being the best you that you can be is a wonderful way to pay tribute to you mom. Raising your kids just as wonderfully as your mom raised you is another amazing way to memorialize your mom. Hang in there, it's never easy but you know your mom wouldn't want you to be blue for too long. She's want you to enjoy being a mom and living the life you have.
