in Daily Neutrino Spin on Broadband Politics
Spin on this issue is everywhere, as you point out. Google is playing the principled card here while violating the principle abroad as well as here by differentiating search engine results for profit. Thanks for cutting throught the garbage on this issue.

Amusing post. I usually find myself at odds with the CCA, and this is no exception. Just as I don't care what REM has to say on this issue, I don't care about the CCA, that is unless they have recently become experts on tiered access or differentiated service, which I doubt.

I oppose net neutrality for many reasons. First and foremost is my distaste with regulation. I find it to be bad for business and the internet. I also don't see how such regulations would actually be necessary as no one is violating net neutrality.

I for one do not think that any government agency is capable now or would be capable of doing a good and meaningful job of enforcing net neutrality legislation. I think that they will actually mess things up worse by creating unintended consequences like they always do.

Let's here it for competition. I hope it spreads, and rapidly. Verizon has made headway in VA, CA, and MA. Hopefully NJ is next and then a whole multitude of other states. Low prices and reliable services are good for the consumer. Keep 'em coming!

Sam- Cable companies are the real monopoly and their prominence has cost the customer too much for too long. Hopefully you guys in Jersey will get the opportunity to have some competition and lower your costs sooner rather than later.

Competition may not be perfect in the internet market right now, but it can't be denied that it does exist. Furthermore, other platforms like wireless are quickly growing. Should any teleco or cable company (lest we foret a real monopoly) go to limit content or act in any undesireable way, the growth of these other industries will be stunning. Leave it to the market my friend.
