I get the same message from alwatan.com
Not so long ago I heard that the website of Al-Watan newspaper had some serious issues and was really insecure .. When I got that message from Firefox 3 after downloading it, I understood what I heard before about Alwatan's website.

I don't get the point of applying the Fair Usage Policy on their smallest package: 512 Kb/s. For the unlimited package it's understandable... but the 1st package?!

in Chemical Orange Press Release? on Blue_Chi
sadly... this happens a lot in Oman in different media agencies, not only Times of Oman.
Same scenario happened to my father with Oman newspaper (Arabic) regarding a conference they were holding , and also same scenario happened to his colleagues but with Al-Watan newspaper. Same scenario, different newspapers. Seems common in the Omani media to twist some reports and write whatever "they" feel like writing...

Cool specs. Especially the 4GB RAM ;). How much did you get it for, if you don't mind me asking?
I've also been hearing a lot of people complaining about Windows Vista, and I don't know what all this fuss is about. I have been using Windows Vista since last summer and didn't face any issues with it, even though I was using the smallest version (Home Basic) for almost 5 months and then upgraded to Ultimate. After I upgraded to Ultimate I just faced minor issues, but nothing major ya3ni.
Ops... I almost forgot! Congratulations! :D

in The Sultan’s School Careers Fair 2008 on Blue_Chi
I have always liked this idea of the careers fair at The Sultan's School. I wish if all the other schools, at least the private ones, had such a thing. A lot of the high school students end their last year in school without knowing what do they want to do in their higher education! They end their high school without knowing what field are they interested in. Hence, they just get involved in anything and God only knows if they'll success in that field they chose at the last moment, or not. Or if they'll regret in the future that they chose that career and didn't choose something else.
Fairs like this one help the students determine what they want to do in the future. by giving them an idea about the fields available around them since they're in school, they'll be able to think more deeply and determine what major they want to get enrolled in. it really helps a lot, I think. 'cause I have seen a lot of pathetic students whom stay for a semester or two after school, studying nothing, because they didn't know what to study, or didn't have any particular major in their minds. Why? because there was nobody to guide them from the beginning and show them what fields are available, and also give them an idea about those fields.
As far as I know, the Sultan's School actually has an office in the school regarding careers and academic counseling, am I right?

yeah, I agree with hiamhere .. I guess the interviews you guys make would be more interesting if they were recorded! but yeah, that will require a lot more work.. as to prepare a meeting with the interviewee and choose a place and get the equipments and so on... it would be amazing though if you guys could do it.

in Salalah Photographs on Blue_Chi
I got to see them the time you uploaded them on facebook. Man, those are REALLY beautiful shots!
I've only been to Salalah once and that was in 1993. Back then I was only 4 years old and I don't remember anything of that trip. I have a couple of pictures of that trip which remind me of how does Salalah look like, but the pictures you've taken are for places I don't have pictures for and I must say that they're really amazing! Good shots and absolutely beautiful places!
p.s: Ramadhan Kareem bro! :)

I'm going to Sohar this weekend but am not sure how long will I stay there, I might come back in the same night, but most probably spend the night there.
Anyways, little help needed! :D
Where is the building of Sohar Municipality? And what is exactly Al-Tarrif Main Road? Is it this one regular Main Road? or somewhere inside Sohar? I mean Safeer Hypermarket is on the main road, is Sohar Municipality also on the main road? I just need to know where is the building of Sohar Municipality..

Oh, sorry! I thought the scholarships are for Masters degree!
That's nice. The ministry gives 10 scholarships? Really very nice! This has nothing to do with the Higher Education Admission Center, right? That's really good.
Wish you good luck with your higher studies plans! :)
