in July newsletter dispatched on Wizards & Wenches
Yea, I barely noticed it in the news list ;)
It's also just the same boring stuff. The podcast was nice (for me - not in beta) as a confirmation and explanation on how exactly it's going to work. Jeff Skalski was really good as presenter, better than Jacobs and Barnett actually.

Interesting, but I will probably stick with EU, in case some of my old WoW guildies decide to switch game.
Yea I saw the hedgehog, aritrary. Maybe should change it from cats to animals ;)

See, this is why I hate Microsoft. What work in one browser don't work in the other.
Anyway, I worked it out, and what you saw was probably the work in progress, Snafzg. Look exactly the same in FF3 and IE7 for me now. But of course I can't test it in EI6 since I had to upgrade (yeay for not being able to run multiple versions without using virtual computers...), so I can only hold my thumbs for it. But then, if you are using IE6 still, you probably deserve it.

@Ruur: yea that would be an idea. The more the merrier.
@Ardue: but if you have over hundred users, it doesn't work with a blog format. Check out Blog Azeroth's forum, and see how they have done.

I have read some Neil Gaiman, but the other names are new to me. Thanks for the tips, will be sure to check them out since I'm all out of fresh books after this summer.

Argh, yea I forgot him. He is too good to be in the "and others". I even have his A Dance with Dragons in the list on the right /facepalm
Katherine Kerr also deserves a spot in there as well.

Indeed I do! Hate to be that guy to bring out the negative, but I guess it would have been said sooner or later.
The change really is nice and I will recommend the site to people.

in …and something even worse on Wizards & Wenches
I guess if it's something small that you have to try hard to figure out, it's ok. But a female blood elf NPC named Haris Pilton who got a dog named Tinkerbell...
@Anonymous, yea that's right, I had totally forgotten about that. I remember throwing on a +5 enchant or something to make it glow with a blue color even more.

Yea I have been wondering about that too. Just saw PA's most recent comic is about Warhammer so might point to the podcast while at it.
Thanks for the compliments on the design, it's amazing what you can do with css. Yours are really nice as well, too bad I can't do something like that as I tend to write long post ;)

in Why rotating capitals are bad on Wizards & Wenches
Understandable, since it's probably one of those things that you don't know how it will work out until you test it.
But one can always speculate ;)

I would love nothing else than to say I'm 100% sure that WAR wont be the things you said. But I pretty much told myself the same thing about AoC, and boy was I proven wrong.
I have high hopes for WAR, but I have learned from my experience to keep a open mind so I won't get so disappointed.
The name can stay the same no matter what game I'm playing, because if the game doesn't have wizards and wenches in it... I'm not playing it! :P

Actually, I think you mixed up serif and sans serif in your article.
Doh! I always seem to mix them up. Damn I even linked to the wrong one, that's some epic fail right there :/

"I write for myself and only myself" is a very good point, and have more than a bucket of truth in it. I guess what pleases me is to please other people, strange as it may sound ;)

in Easy Reading on Wizards & Wenches
It's easier to read now, thank you ;)
Fitting three columns is a bit tight (which I figured after trying), but it should be possible to have a wide right column for the images and a thin left for blogroll and such, without sacrificing too much main column space

in PR: how not to do it on Wizards & Wenches
Yup, Paul is all wonky and weird, and that's refreshing after having to listen to all the developers who read from papers. But yea, he can get a little too silly.
Thankfully they have Jeff with him now as his opposite. Organized, serious and informative. Everything Paul is not ;)
And as long as they don write "participate in huge siege battles with hundreds of people", they just might make it.
