Quite a few people invested time in building a network inside Connect, and it is proving difficult to convince them to do likewise in Mix. Are there any plans to allow the importing of existing Connect networks into Mix?

Frank

Re: More Mix Fixes

I go back to my comments when Mix launched, about the effort put in by a lot of people to establish relationships in Connect.

We've had problems promoting Mix in EMEA as people don't want to spend time rebuilding their network. If the networks already existing in Connect, could be transferred to Mix, then I think you would see a pickup in Mix usage.

Re: More Mix Fixes

@Jake: Thanks for that clarification, I will attempt to clearly define the difference between Connect and Mix in my future communications with EMEA employees.

Re: I Need Your Help

We've been pulling together a Web 2.0 guide for Oracle employees. Trying to convince my colleagues to join as well as it would be a good way to track what location we are in each week - trying to do this via Collabsuite is just too cumbersome.

On a personal level, I've just learned from TripIT that a friend living in Australia will be back in Ireland during the summer.

Feel free to add me to your network.

Frank

Re: April Fools’ on Mix?

Jake,

What is the profile of the new users. We did some promotion at the start of this week on a few internal blogs - http://blog.us.oracle.com/infrastructure/?96343... http://blog.us.oracle.com/lunch20-UK/?96344032

Frank

Re: Recap of the Working Group’s First Call

@Jake. I'm running a Web 2.0 workshop later this month. Looking for some case studies (video preferably) of how a company has successfully exploited Web 2.0. Searched my Google Reader archive and found this post. Did the Workgroup ever get a case study repository together?

Re: More Connect UI Mockups, Do You Care?

Hi Jake,

I will pass on this post to some of the EMEA people who we know are using Connect and Mix, to see if we can get any feedback from them.

Frank

Re: AppsLab FAQ: How Do I Get People to Adopt?

Jake,

Great post. Some useful ideas for increasing adoption.

We've been using Connect for the last few weeks and the number one item of feedback we've had is the lack of email subscriptions for Group activity. Whether we like it or not email is still the #1 communication tool for most people. We've posted content against groups and members have no idea that we've posted something, as they are not seeing anything in their inbox.

Therefore to help improve building the Community, we'd like to see email subscriptions. To avoid Spam, we could give people the option to turn the subscriptions on or off.

Re: Post Updates to Twitter from APEX (PL/SQL)

I'd also be interested in trying out OraTweet.
