Even though I've had your blog saved in my bookmarks for a while, today was the first time I ever actually paid attention to the stuff I've saved. Your observation is very true.

Many people give up after they fail because they think that is the end. They do not realize that it could be a beginning. Analyzing where they went wrong, what did not work, might actually give them the clues they need to succeed later on.

As someone who has tried and failed several times, I can guarantee you, the best lessons we get as human beings, come from failing and getting up again.

Keep trying.

Re: The Savvy Snippet: Don’t Just Stand There

Wow! Again, I find it interesting how you are going through the same thing I am going, even though we are at completely different stages of our lives. In my case, my only child is beginning her last year of high school next month. That means that "empty nest" for me starts at 42 years of age.

I realized that all my earlier attempts at getting things done were not working so I decided to make my daily action list about small accomplishments. And you know what? It is working.

I want to make sure I have plenty of hobbies and Work at Home tasks to feel my day once she is gone. I hope to start my own company soon and I am going back to school. These are things that I am also taking slow because the money is not as important as doing things right and learning from the experience.

And by the way, a baby teaches you that you do get the greatest triumphs from the smallest things, but you also learn not to sweat the small stuff.

Re: What’s Your Biggest Question?

This might sound stupid, but you did say ask away. How can I bottle up whatever it is that some people like you have, to get from reading, studying, analyzing and learning, to actually achieving. Some stats: I am 42, took me two months to loose ten pounds (I am still over 60 pounds to go), have several income possibilities (that I will not mention in order to not incur in free advertising for others) and I get really excited, I read all the material, I even have some semblance of a plan in place, but I don't know if I am afraid of failure, success, I don't know where to start of a combination of all of the above. I can't seem to decide and I am not moving at all. How do you choose where to start? Where do you get your juice?

Re: What Drives You? My daughter is 17 but in 2 years she is leaving the nest and I want to make sure I have as much fun as possible with her. That is a great reason to work from home
