I think my sister may have several years' worth of mine.
And THE CAFE is a better idea than having the owners of FHM relaunch it.

The Lambeth effect is no doubt due to the fact that LINX is located in Tookey Street, SE1.

Oh Lord, not the Meldeamt..I remember queuing for hours to "anmelden" in a police station in the 3rd Bezirk of Vienna, watched in blinding heat by a portrait of Thomas Klestil. I was even more pleased to hear I would have to carry the bit of crappy paper everywhere with me, as well as my passport.
Revenge: I went to Hungary, Slovakia and France without bothering to "abmelden". Do you think they can still do me for it?

There's no reason why blogspace will not exist outside the British press for exactly the opposite reasons that it exists in the US. In the US press, there's a problem of false balance and dullness. Hence blogs go for the blood and thunder. It's a bland stack of burgers and cheese fries without flavour, until you pour blogsauce on it.
In Britain, much of the press is nakedly partisan and frankly vicious - the problem is not to add chilli, it's to add meat and flavour. Think of it as a cheap curry - plenty of spice but not much substance without a few chunks of blog chop and fat in the stew.

It'll be the words "Patrick" and "Minford" that wreck that for me...

No, we have to keep repeating it because it is necessary to resist the isolationist nonsense that EU withdrawal/quasi-withdrawal is cost free. The available non-EU Europe shrinks daily. Are you down to just Switzerland yet? Not quite: there's always Norway. And Serbia (the rest of the Balkans will be in soon enough), as well as a couple of risible tax paradise postage stamps.
EFTA is no longer a viable concept, if it ever was. Empire Free Trade is a 1930s idea, not today. These Napoleonic fantasies of a counter-EU ought frankly to be one with the nationalisation of the machine tool industry and an increased supply of domestic servants. An ex-EU Britain would face steady pressure to erode the terms of trade with the EU, with little counter-leverage. We are either in or out.
