The thing we don't want is a person spammily auto-bookmarking a hundred of her own blog posts. A feed of hand-selected links to interesting articles (using their real URLs, not redirected URLs) might be OK.

Re: Why I Left Del.icio.us

have you guys tried the new-ish del.icio.us bookmarks extension? http://del.icio.us/help/firefox/extensionnew - it synchronizes your del.icio.us bookmarks into firefox, which means you can search them from within firefox, so it's usually quite a bit faster than searches on the website. Glad you found the new add-on, and thanks for writing about what you thought. It wasn't possible to make it available as an update to the old one because it's actually listed as a separate add-on in the Mozilla system. Re "The Bad": the toolbar has more capability beyond the buttons -- see http://del.icio.us/help/firefox/bookmarks/overv... . You can remove unwanted status buttons, but I don't know about adding the "TAG" button to the status bar since that's already in the top toolbar for most users.

Re: The NEW Del.icio.us is Out!

Yay, glad you like it!

Re: 2008/03/14/delicious-revamp/

That screen shot is a little cropped -- the tag list is just out of sight on the right side. See http://www.techcrunch.com/wp-content/del22.png or http://flickr.com/photos/negatendo/1340065656/i... for a fuller view. Also, an updated extension is in the works.
