in Delicious Del.icio.us on Michael Valiant
Hi Michael! Glad you found the new add-on, and thanks for writing about what you thought. It wasn't possible to make it available as an update to the old one because it's actually listed as a separate add-on in the Mozilla system. Re "The Bad": the toolbar has more capability beyond the buttons -- see http://del.icio.us/help/firefox/bookmarks/overv... . You can remove unwanted status buttons, but I don't know about adding the "TAG" button to the status bar since that's already in the top toolbar for most users.

in del.icio.us question (Scripting News) on Scripting News
We don't encourage it; Delicious is for personal bookmarks, not blog feeds. The thing we don't want is a person spammily auto-bookmarking a hundred of her own blog posts. A feed of hand-selected links to interesting articles (using their real URLs, not redirected URLs) might be OK.

That screen shot is a little cropped -- the tag list is just out of sight on the right side. See http://www.techcrunch.com/wp-content/del22.png or http://flickr.com/photos/negatendo/1340065656/i... for a fuller view. Also, an updated extension is in the works.

in Why I Left Del.icio.us on dmiessler.com | grep understanding
have you guys tried the new-ish del.icio.us bookmarks extension? http://del.icio.us/help/firefox/extensionnew - it synchronizes your del.icio.us bookmarks into firefox, which means you can search them from within firefox, so it's usually quite a bit faster than searches on the website. (we know the website can be super-slow sometimes...we're really working on that.)

http://del.icio.us/taggedhype/
That's an automated del.icio.us account that organizes music from the Hype Machine by tags that describe the music. The person who created that wasn't trying to spam anyone. They were using del.icio.us a link archive with automated tagging and categorization. It's awesome.
