Excellent! :D I'd be quite happy to see low-tech making a comeback... It would do wonders for my blood pressure! ;)

You've hit the nail on the head with your "somehow it feels different" comment.

I think perhaps (for me anyway) it's the impression that everybody using it is a friend of everybody else - so you don't mind getting (or replying to) an email from them! ;)

Congratulations on such a successful meme - and thanks for the fascinating reading to everyone who took part!

That cover offer still stands - when you're ready!

in Is 30 Too Old To Be An Entrepreneur? on Instigator Blog
I bloody well hope 30 isn't too old to strike it rich! I've only just hit the big three-zero, and I've got my fingers in more pies than I care to mention - so if 30 is too old then I'm screwed! ;)

Thanks for the ping! It was fun to write! :)

Did you get my reply about the cover? Let me know if not and I'll resend it - my mail's been playing up recently!

I'm sure you're not going to be short of volunteers for the job, but I'm happy to do cover artwork for the project. :)

I'm glad to see the reduced focus on faves. The question is: was it planned anyway, or is it a knee-jerk reaction to all the link trains that have been doing the rounds lately?

@Martin: don't count them out yet mate! I have a sneaky (and possibly well-informed) hunch that they've got something special in the pipeline! ;)

I can't personally see where this would be useful.

You could put the link on your website, but then you'd probably have your own contact form incorporated into your site if you wanted people to reach you.

And you wouldn't be able to post it into a large number of email fields on web-based forms, as the scripts behind them won't allow text that doesn't match a valid email address format (i.e. name@domain.tld).

So, who is this aimed at? Sorry if I sound negative, but I just don't get it!

Depends on if you're one of those people who do the stream of conciousness thing when they're posting in the comments box of a blog and don't take a breath and don't bother to use proper punctuation or carriage returns or anything other than bear words because that's how they talk on their mobile phones innit?

;)

Mmmm... I think your new nested comments thingy may be stripping soft returns from the comment box! ;)

Pete Cashmore Hmmm...dunno how to fix that. You really need soft returns?

I can totally understand MySpace's research policy.

I ran a similar project recently, where I researched myself - and what I found out was fascinating!

I discovered that I am officially a sex God, and that everybody in the entire world should send me a tenner in a brown envelope to my PO Box address, before the end of 2007.

Cool, huh?

Pete Cashmore Wow, really? If everyone else is doing it, I'd better send you a tenner too!
