However, carbon dioxide levels have never been as high as they are now, and carbon dioxide levels are continuing to rise steadily at 2 parts per million per year. The average temperature seems to be rising in parallel, although with less consistency than the rise of CO2.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The rise in CO2 and other GHG is due to the increased needs and wants of a huge human population. Co2 levels are continuing to rise at about 2 ppm/yr, and temperatures are climbing roughly in parallel.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The rise in greenhouse gases is due to the needs and wants of the huge global population.  Controlling global warming will absolutely require voluntary global population reduction.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Joseph Bookstein, MD</dc:creator><pubDate>Thu, 06 Mar 2008 11:37:04 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
