While it is true that ice-core data indicates that temperatures have been slightly higher than now in times long past, CO2 levels have never been higher. Co2 levels are continuing to rise at about 2 ppm/yr, and temperatures are climbing roughly in parallel.

The rise in greenhouse gases is due to the needs and wants of the huge global population. Controlling global warming will absolutely require voluntary global population reduction.

It is true that ice core studies indicate that temperatures have been a little higher than now at times long past. However, carbon dioxide levels have never been as high as they are now, and carbon dioxide levels are continuing to rise steadily at 2 parts per million per year. The average temperature seems to be rising in parallel, although with less consistency than the rise of CO2.

The rise in CO2 and other GHG is due to the increased needs and wants of a huge human population. A good part of the answer to global warming will have to be voluntary population reduction.
